Beginning of a new month, and one with its own pivotal events, at that.
It just so happened that today, I didn’t have work, because we didn’t have electricity at the house. So I had more time, more reason to dust off the physical Bible, and less reason to look at anything else.
It was a good session to start the month off right.
Thank You, Lord, for the reading of Your Word.
Psalm 63
Joy in the Fellowship of God
A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
1 O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.
2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory.
3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You.
4 Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.
6 When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches.
7 Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.
8 My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me.
9 But those who seek my life, to destroy it, Shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
10 They shall fall by the sword; They shall be a portion for jackals.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him shall glory; But the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.
Feels like a word sticking out for me as we start September is, Meditation. Reflection. Here, David composed in the wilderness, delighting in fellowship with the Lord.
Usually, in the first day of the month, I’d be inclined to go back to Psalm 1, where we’re reminded right away that we’re to delight in the Law of the Lord. In line with this, I’m also reminded to delight in the Lord Himself, and He shall give me the desires of my heart – Psalm 37:4.
In this first day of September, I’m not only reminded in Psalm 1, and here in Psalm 63, but also in Proverbs 1 – to delight in the Lord, to be in reverence to Him and His Word:
5 A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,
6 To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:5-7
Going through these words, what got my attention was where it was mentioned, that fools despise wisdom and instruction; I wanted to dive a little deeper into the opposite of the fear of the Lord.
Wisdom speaks to one and all, in Proverbs 1:22-23: “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge. Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you…”
According to e-Sword, the word ‘simplicity’ is pethiy / peth-ee: From H6601, silly (that is, seducible): -foolish, simple (-icity, one)
Foolishness is being “okay” with scorning (‘latson’, or derision, or mockery); It’s the opposite of what was mentioned in Proverbs 1:5 – refusing to listen, not increasing learning, despising learning, and despising knowledge.
Wisdom continues: “For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them; But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.” Proverbs 1:32-33
Really quick – that got to me, where it says that we would be secure, without fear of evil. We just came from a month where we did a lot of declaring – to be precise, we were saying out loud that in Christ, we were only allowed to be blessed forever, not allowed to be cursed; That is to say, curses may come, but they don’t stick.
Here, I’m also seeing another perspective: We are only allowed to be secure, and fear of evil may come, but it shall not stick.
In the name of Jesus, this month of September is a month where we witness God’s everlasting blessings, and where were experience curses, broken, dying, disassociated and separated from us.
This is a month where we shall experience reconciliation, clarification, and deeper transformation, from a deeper renewing of the mind.
In the name of Jesus, this month of September is a month free from sickness, free from sudden disaster, free from sudden death.
The enemy may persist in stealing from us, killing us and destroying us, but all attempts FAIL because in Christ, we have life, and life abundant, life everlasting.
May God’s Will be done. May His Body be further united. May His Kingdom expand further.
May His Name be glorified, more and more.

Wanted to say all that before I kept going with what I had in my notebook.
The fear of the Lord is righteousness.
The veneration of man (or, really, everything else) is foolishness.
Trust in God as the Spirit leads; hope in everything else is of the flesh.
10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.Acts 17:10-11
The fear of the Lord is reverence to His Word. You either eat the Word, or attack it.
You revere the Creator, or you mock Him.
Believe in the Word of the Lord, and receive Him. And, based on Colossians 2:6-7, as you have received Him, so walk in Him – that is, ‘peripateo‘, meaning, to ‘walk at large’ (especially as proof of ability)
With this in mind, it’s no surprise that Christ told the paralytic man that his sins were forgiven, and for him to ‘peripateo‘ – to walk, as proof of ability, as proof of his sins forgiven, as proof of his healing.
It’s also no surprise that Peter told the paralytic man in Acts 3, ‘silver and gold I have none, but in the name of Jesus Christ, rise up and peripateo‘.
We walk in Him, we ‘peripateo‘ in Him, rooted (stable) and built up (or upon) in Him;
We ‘peripateo‘ in Him, established in the faith, as we have been taught, abounding with thanksgiving.
At around this point, I went ahead and wrote what came into mind:
- 知行合一 / zhī xíng hé yī – Wang Yangming’s Unity of Knowledge and Action; Knowledge and Action being part of one coin, Action affirming knowledge. Going beyond merely walking the talk, beyond practicing what you preach – if your actions don’t align with your stated knowledge, it’s not that you’re a hypocrite; it’s that you never truly knew or understood in the first place. If you truly knew something, you will inevitably act upon it.
- ‘Faith without works is dead’, but also, true life is faith resulting in works, faith overflowing with works.
- We peripateo, we walk as proof of our being rooted, our being built up and built upon Christ, established in our faith.
- In Christ, indeed, we live and move and have our being. Meditations of Christ eventually bringing us to Movements. The roots read to fruits, and the fruits prove the roots.
Psalm 101
Promised Faithfulness to the LORD
A Psalm of David.
1 I will sing of mercy and justice; To You, O LORD, I will sing praises.
2 I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
3 I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.
4 A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness.
5 Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy; The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, Him I will not endure.
6 My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me; He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me.
7 He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.
8 Early I will destroy all the wicked of the land, That I may cut off all the evildoers from the city of the LORD.
We walk, as proof of Christ’s perfection alive in us; We walk, from a heart made perfect through Christ’s resurrection.
We walk as proof of Christ-perfected righteousness – guaranteed eternal life; rooted, built up, and established in Christ.
Psalm 100
A Song of Praise for the LORD’s Faithfulness to His People
A Psalm of Thanksgiving.
1 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
2 Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
3 Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
5 For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
So I scribbled all this throughout today, the first day of September.
Not sure what to make of all of it. except that the thread is becoming clearer.
September begins in the wilderness of Psalm 63: thirst, longing, early seeking, and the discovery that God’s lovingkindness is better than life. It begins with meditation, not momentum. Before another round of things ending, things starting, things reconciled, things healed, things restored; Before all that started last month, all that’s begun since the beginning of 2026, before all that’s started continues, there is fellowship with God in a dry place.
“Meditation” really stuck out. David remembers God on his bed. He meditates in the night watches. He follows close, and the right hand of the Lord upholds him. The month does not start with strategy. It starts with thirst.
From there the Word presses further: Delight in the Lord. Fear the Lord. Receive instruction. Do not love simplicity — that seducible, easily-led state that scorns what it should sit under. Wisdom still calls: turn at my rebuke, and I will pour out my spirit on you. The turning away of the simple slays them; the complacency of fools destroys them. But the one who listens dwells safely, secure, without fear of evil.
That last line matters after August. We declared that in Christ we are positioned for blessing, not for curse. Curses may come up, but they do not have to stick. In the same way, fear of evil may visit, but it does not have to remain. Security in Christ is not denial of danger. It is refusal to let danger become the atmosphere of the soul.
So this is the word I want to carry into September:
This is a month of witnessing God’s blessing.
This is a month of watching curses lose their claim.
This is a month of reconciliation, clarification, and deeper transformation through a renewed mind.
This is a month to walk — peripateo — as proof that we have received Christ, and therefore we continue in Him.
We shall not walk as a performance. We shall walk as evidence, validation and proof that we are rooted. Built up. Established in the faith. We walk, abounding with thanksgiving.
We walk, understanding that knowledge is becoming action. Faith is becoming (grand, glorious, God-pointing) work. Meditation becoming movement. Roots becoming fruit.
I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set nothing wicked before my eyes. A perverse heart shall depart from me. These words are not birthed from self-made perfection. They are spoken from Christ-perfected righteousness beginning to govern my eyes, my house, reprogramming the inner life that it overflows outwardly.
We did not make ourselves. We are His people, the sheep of His pasture. We shall indeed enter His gates with thanksgiving, proclaiming that His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.
If August taught endurance under pressure, September begins with this: seek Him early, listen when Wisdom speaks, walk as one already made alive, and let the fruit prove the root.
There is much to be done. There is much in mind. I have Man Vs Baby, and the Family Plan in my Watch Later playlist. I have just come off of a ‘Trading Tuesday’ program, and watched someone make a thousand dollars in a matter of minutes, all from a desire being revived – a desire, that is, to make forex a real, serious source of income.
While I type this, I have the first of a number of lectures playing the background, forming a free course regarding the union of Science and Faith. I believe this is a great supplement to my personal theology and personal belief system.
I’m starting to pray – like the Spirit is putting the words in my mouth: May my partner be as Ruth, particularly where she says, ‘your family shall be my family’, ‘your God shall be my God’; and, just now, may I be as blessed, benevolent and strong as Boaz.
I reinstalled Rome: Total War Remastered, and to play any other Faction, I decided to begin re-playing the Brutii Campaign, en route to playing as Parthia.
I’ve also jumped back into watching the Billions’ series, particularly starting in Season 3. I’ve re-started an Iron Wolf workout challenge, which was meant for one December, years ago. Finally, I’m trying my darndest to make 7-10k steps a day, and eating 2 meals a day, maximum.
With all this in mind, I say:
Father, my soul follows hard after You.
Your right hand upholds me.
Father, thank You for the first day of September and for the gift of Your Word when the power was out and lesser things could not compete. Thank You for Psalm 63, for thirst that leads to fellowship, and for lovingkindness better than life.Teach us to meditate. Teach us to fear You. Keep us from the simplicity that refuses instruction. Pour out Your Spirit on those who turn at Your rebuke. Let us dwell safely, secure, without fear of evil.
Make this month a month of blessing that remains and of curses that cannot stick. Renew our minds. Reconcile what is broken. Clarify what is confused. Transform what still belongs to the old life.Help us walk in Christ — rooted, built up, established, thankful. Let knowledge and action become one. Let faith produce fruit. Let nothing wicked cling to our eyes or our house. Let a perverse heart depart.
We are Yours, not our own. Be glorified in this month, in this household, in this church, and in every person still being drawn by Your goodness.

The Lord continue to bless us, as this month begins, as this year progresses.
