Disclaimer, folks – this is pretty all over the place, but as I’m learning, everything can be made more precise by writing, but much more can be clarified and organized with prayer – lifting all things all over the place to the Lord.
(August 28, 2026)
Thinking to myself right now, what was I praying for months ago?
We were talking about bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit on the onset of 2026. Prayers were related to that… bearing love, peace, patience, joy, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control, in all situations and circumstances.
And, yes, that was the emphasis, with the clarification that while money, health, and just better circumstances in this reality constituted as fruits, it was really those fruits of the Holy Spirit that we were to bear much of.
Q2 2026, I personally noticed how we were tested, and how we needed to trust in the Lord, how we needed to pray and to speak out blessings. In the first Sundays of Q3, we were talking about how we needed to concentrate on the Word. Message after message of confirmation followed this, first, with AI telling me that the term was that we needed to be ‘rooted’ in the Word… this, independent from my brother from another mother releasing his clothing line business at around that time… named ‘rootd’.
I’ve mentioned this again and again, but for this year’s so-called ‘ghost month’, we’ve been experiencing a heck of a lot of beginnings, a lot of investments in time and money going on.
There’s the fast-tracking of the legal documentation of the church I serve in. That’s taking a lot of time, thought, and dinero.
There’s also the long-anticipated approval of the documentation finally permitting us to start a logistics business we’ve worked and waited at least 3 years to start… this, coinciding with an unexpected endorsement which directed a whole bunch of would-be clients for us to establish relationships with.
And speaking of would-be clients, I’m also on my second week of cold-calling folks down under, trying my darndest to sound less scripted and more natural in endorsing and hopefully selling whole home water filtration systems…
…and, well, thinking about that last item… I don’t know if it’s my coffee intake, or just me expressing resistance in dialling, and dialling again and again, to answering machines, to calls getting dropped, to folks just brushing me off upon introduction, or to folks telling me to fcuk off.
It’s come to a point that I’ve been making call after call after call with what seems to be a self-sabotaging mindset and expectation that the person on the other line is 99.99% likely to have no interest whatsoever in what I have to offer…
…and this is leaving me unprepared for the 0.01% that’s actually willing to listen to me stuttering and shooting myself in the foot. What I mean by shooting myself in the foot is not being able to push them further when they tell me stuff, like they’re happy with the water, or they’re used to their system of buying bottled water (where we could actually offer them financing, which may cost close to what they’re already spending weekly); Not pushing them, and actually more eager to end the call and to dial again.
It gets me to thinking, any and all encounters we have with people can be seen as ‘cold-calls’ to them; They may not immediately be opportunities to testify to the goodness of God leading to repentance, but they ARE opportunities, nevertheless.
I have what’s supposed to be the greatest news any human being could ever receive; a full and complete Salvation that’s more than worth talking about… and, well, I’m not pushy about it, nor am I eager to direct an encounter (call) towards introducing them to Christ.
I AM ready for inbound calls. I AM ready for warm calls. That is, if they call in to ask, I’d be ready. If they expressed previous interest, I’d be ready.
It feels like… yeah, there it is. I’m no cold-caller. OR, okay. Not saying it that way, I’d rather say, man, people who are good at cold-calling are good at what I think is quite the difficult skill. To clarify, this is different from cold-encountering – that is, selling to someone whom you not only can speak to and listen to, but whose body language you could sense, someone who you could ‘warm’ a whole lot easier, if that makes any sense.
Andrew Schulz and other comedians that specialize in crowd work comes to mind. That’s actually something I’d like to practice, if I really was to apply myself in what constitutes ‘sales’, or evangelism – ‘working’ people, eventually making them be the ones to ‘buy’, or receive Christ, avoiding shoving sales/the Gospel down their throat.
This is turning to a hodgepodge of thoughts that have been brewing in my mind since the last time I wrote. No excuses, but I am seeing the consequences of not writing – the prayers and the worship have been a whole lot more consistent, but here I’m seeing that, yeah, there’s just something about writing that sharpens things, clarifies thoughts… truly, writing makes a precise man.
Writing makes a precise man… and if I’m not seeing clear steps or progress towards me being a ‘self-made’, sustaining man, here I’m reminded that I could still be a precise man… a less cold, warm, precise man, who experiences and therefore is able to project what should be known as fruit with true meaning and full value; A man, who at the very least, bears the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
(August 31, 2026)
And I built on that, last Sunday. I told everyone within the sound of my voice, and myself, that at the very worst, we were STILL members of the body of Christ, and we would ALWAYS have Christ and His Word – Yes, His Word which is Spirit, and Life. At the very worst, we have the Holy Spirit, and we have Everlasting Life; all because of our Father’s perfect Love.
Here, as I go through it again, well, I’m seeing that even if I find myself with close to nothing in my bank accounts, nothing to show for myself in the eyes of this ruthless world… I have Christ, and I will keep writing about Him – for His name’s sake, for my sanity and stability, for His glory, and for His will to be done.
I read and write all of this and I’m just reminded of how Wang Yangming’s concept of Unity of Knowledge and Action just resonates that much more – for us in the body of Christ, I believe this aforementioned concept is a perspective of James’ emphasizing how faith without works is dead; What Christ authored in us is a Unity of Faith and Works…
…and I believe this is seen much more, demonstrated and observed much more when we’re brought into desperate situations, and circumstances much like those that have transpired this month.
I mean, in the span of August, so much has happened… and it’s not just about what I wrote about regarding me getting into sales, or finishing church documentation, or getting started with businesses that have taken years to start.
I’ve also noticed reprogramming of my mind, and its consequent transformation of my being. I’ve been praying more, intentionally worshipping more, and it’s making all sorts of changes – old and ultimately obsolete patterns of the flesh are being broken. In its place is genuine, actionable trust in the Lord, and hope as a true anchor to my soul.
Perversion is being overwritten, and as an effect, priorities are redefined, and perceptions are redirected. Obsessions are being transformed to prayer points. People and things are being taken out of the pedestal where God alone deserves to be. Drives are being redirected.
I fed this to Grok… and approving, and agreeing with a prayer it composed:
Father,
Thank You for August. Thank You for the cry at the beginning of the year to bear the fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control — in every circumstance, not only when money, health, and comfort appear.
Thank You that You have been rooting us in Your Word. Thank You for the confirmations, even the unexpected ones. Keep us planted. Keep us from withering.
You have allowed many beginnings in a month many treat as unlucky: church documentation, Safety First after three years of waiting, and this unexpected path into outbound sales. We lift all of it to You. Give wisdom for the legal work. Give unity and motion to the co-owners of Safety First. Give skill, compassion, and endurance on the calls to Australia. Break the self-sabotaging expectation that almost no one will listen. Prepare him for the one who will. Help him stay on the line long enough to serve, not just long enough to escape.
Teach him to treat every encounter — on the phone or in person — as an opportunity, not a performance. Let the same compassion that comes from the Father become genuine curiosity for the person on the other end. Let confidence in Christ become quiet confidence in the good that clean water can do for a household. Make him less cold and more precise — a man who writes, prays, works, and bears real fruit.
At the very worst, we still belong to Christ. We still have His Word, which is Spirit and life. We still have the Holy Spirit. We still have everlasting life because of the Father’s perfect love. That is enough to keep writing, keep calling, keep serving, and keep trusting.
Thank You for the deeper work beneath the visible work. Thank You for the reprogramming of the mind. Thank You that old patterns of the flesh are being broken, that perversion is being overwritten, that obsessions are becoming prayer points, and that people and things are being taken off the pedestal that belongs to You alone. Keep doing that work. Keep his path straight.
Let knowledge and action become one. Let faith produce works. Let what Christ has authored in him become visible in desperate months as much as in easy ones.
This month, this venture, this household, this church, Michelle, his mother, Manang Irene, his brothers, and his own heart — all of it is Yours.
Be glorified in the fruit that remains.
In the name of Jesus we pray together.
Amen.
If you happen to read this far, thank you so much, and let me pray for you.
Father, thank You for the soul who happens to be reading all this drivel. I thank You for the patience present with this dear reader, to endure all I have to share here.
Father, I pray for Your everlasting and perfect love to just continue manifesting in their lives. I thank You for, no doubt, You have been faithful to them, You have been true, trustworthy, and reliable to them, in the past, today, and in the days and weeks ahead.
We thank You for last month, and for Your goodness and greatness, Your grace and glory, Your superabundant blessings for us in the month to come.
Thank You, Lord. No weapons formed against us shall prosper. No curses said against us shall come anywhere near fulfillment. Thank You, Jesus, for through You, we are expectant of blessings, and salvation from all curses.
Thank You, Lord, for in Your name, death shall not come near us; We have Your Word, and Your Word is Spirit and Life. We thank You, Lord, for by the power of the Holy Spirit, we shall be graciously provided for, and we shall be fully and completely healed in all aspects of our being.
Be glorified in our lives. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
