The Better Normal – A Checkpoint. – January 18, 2022 (18/365)

I should’ve been done with my words a very long time ago. It’s an hour before midnight and I’m pretty much cramming… but I do have a lot on my mind.

Or rather, I do have one thing on my mind. And it’s about Jesus too, so if you aren’t religious or anything like that, fair warning, all this just might make you cringe.

But hey, if you decide to read on anyway, it’s fine. And thanks.

It’s really just about how knowing you are unconditionally loved by no less than the Universe itself – for all the chaos and trepidation it is implied to bring into your personal life, as if it was all against you, as Mr. Tyson would say (Really, I’m not saying his full name because, if I was serious about him, I’d say he sort of likes his name being mentioned and I’m pretty sure he looks at the mirror more often than usual, reminding himself of his name and what he stands for). Sure, this reality in which the universe exists is bound to sin and is therefore laced with death, so I could say that there is the very real possibility that anything and everything may go wrong for you at any given moment, to the point that you would definitely think it’s all against you, but let me rephrase: You are unconditionally loved by an entity more than the universe itself – and that is no less than the literal creator of all things, the Creator of all that is seen and unseen, this reality which our senses may perceive and beyond.

You may want to consider that in spite of all the injustice you see in your own personal life, or in the life of others, if you have the luxury of making observations, the power beyond that this is created, and the power that is certainly beyond what corrupts what was created, God Himself – yes, you may want to consider that He is so in love with you.

I know this, and I say this only because of the birth, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, stepping out of His everlasting glory to be born as a limited man – He proclaimed Himself as no less than the actual representation of God, an emissary of sorts from the eternal heavenlies to this reality, a complete opposite of every other prophet and religious authority who proclaims that they are able to go and take others from this reality to the heavenlies. No, Christ was not just another wise man, not just another prophet, but, as His disciples said after witnessing the calming of the Sea of Galilee, and as the centurion who witnessed His crucifixion and death said, Truly, this man was the Son of God.

Every single moment He spent here with us, up until His last breath on the cross, He spent all these moments representing the truth of the Love of God for each and every one of us. He revealed God as a Father, who would go out of His way and forsake all of Himself just to run to His wayward sons and daughters, to make sure they were saved and satisfied. The existence of Christ projected the love of God as a Good Shepherd, who was willing to leave the 99 sheep enclosed while He braved the unknown, just to save 1 lost sheep.

And I could go on and on and on, but He was born, He died, He rose again, and ascended, all to give anyone and everyone who would believe the option of no longer living in sin and death, but having righteousness which leads to life – real, true, everlasting Life… And this is a life which is not necessarily the pinnacle of this reality as we perceive it, but, again, True and Real, Eternal and Infinite Life, reconciled forever to the Creator of this reality, beyond anything and everything we may ever conjure with our limited thinking.

I apologize, because I felt I needed to go ahead and type all this, not necessarily just to hit my word quota, but also to see where I was at in exclaiming this belief, this faith, provided to me not by anyone else, not generated by me, but birthed in my by the power of the Holy Spirit, wisdom made alive in me the same way Christ rose from the dead. I speak a good lot about the great and glorious love of God for each and every one of us, on and off of the camera, but I do need to speak it to myself, as much as I do share it to whoever is within my sphere of influence, whether consciously, or unintentionally.

I also needed to type this because, well, to share, I was just with a couple of friends an hour ago, and we unconsciously agreed on how difficult life would be not knowing this love, and especially during this time that we all need love. The world is just so bound and paralyzed by fear, and we’re clearly willing to let go of our humanity in the name of the feeling of safety, the yearning of which is birthed – inevitably, because of the endless streaming of fear into all of our senses, from online and offline sources. I needed to share love, and True Love, which leads to life, and True Life, infinitely superior to anything and everything that this reality would have us scared of.

For, indeed, what is the worst that could happen to us? It may be the end of our physical bodies, but in spite of this, we are not afraid, because even if our flesh expires, it is True Love and True Life, given to us freely by the finished work of Christ, that would not only restore us but remake us and hold us together, not only for a season, not only for an extended period of time, but rather, until the end of time, and beyond.

When we understand no less than the true and eternal, everlasting love that God has for us through Jesus Christ, we would inevitably take it in as our reality, versus all that we see and hear and touch, which perishes, as our bodies would.

Our perceptions change, and our priorities are realigned. What used to be so difficult for us to do – truly loving one another, and being true to ourselves – we are set free to try these actions on, knowing that God will never leave us no matter what. Once we were ashamed, once we were afraid – Fear was our literal operating system. It was what drove our decisions and actions.

I guess what I’m saying is that understanding Christ and how He truly operated in and through us, as demonstrated through His perfect love, in His birth, death, resurrection and ascension – That would certainly change how we operate as well.. and though the changes may not always be as profound as others, we are guaranteed that we would certainly change, and the change is from good to better, glory to glory, brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.

Christ is the Perfect Love which casts out all the fear of the world.

Thank you for your time. I will do better tomorrow. I have everything listed out for me to do, all that’s left is to post this, and to rest.

God bless you.
