Day 7

Well. Today, for me, was all about my Data Science Assignment. So the alarm goes off at 6:55, and I’m out of bed by around 7:30. No delays or nothing, I go straight to the living room and power up the Laptop, where I do the programming and stuff. I was mostly working on getting data processed for analysis, then mapping it all out, and then eventually setting up an appropriate Machine Learning model to supplement my findings. In between working on this assignment I was able to process the Barley grass and the Wheatgrass seeds.

First, the barley grass. After draining it, I threw it into the blender. Before powering it up I poured out the wheatgrass seed rinsing water through a sieve straight into the blender as well. Not sure if that’s healthy or toxic, but it’s been more than 12 hours and I’m still alive. Drank enough for a glass and a half.

Next, the seeds. So I guess I soaked enough for 2, and then 3 trays. I processed black soil and earthworm poop enough for 2 trays, and when I saw I had extra seed I just put it on a bed of black soil on a third tray. Didn’t follow the conventional approach, I forgot to place tissue over the seeds before watering the entire thing, but this time I watered, then placed tissue, and then watered when the tissue didn’t soak anything up.

I gave the cilantro pots their daily water doses. I gently moved the soil on the second pot so more of the stalk (trunk?) of one of the plants isn’t unnecessarily exposed.

After that, it was a cup of coffee and more course work for me. Eventually, at around 1-2, I took a bath, and got dressed. I tried to beat the 2:59 deadline but I only got as far as getting the notebook done so I upload that to GitHub, and submit link 1/3 as a Draft for my submission.

I headed out to the Korean Palace to have late lunch with Donn & Ian. Was good catching up with them, especially Donn, who gave me the skinny on what’s been going on in Summit. Was a good time, can’t beat Korean.. except now I gotta burn this (and so much more) out of my system. Didn’t work out today.

Can’t go wrong

I got home around 5. I did the report/blogpost part of my final assignment until around 9:30. I thought I was going to head upstairs to bed early but I guess I wanted to do this first.

Oh, I submitted my assignment, and got a failing mark from a peer. I suspect it was because he/she could click the link I provided so I remedied that. Really hoping I see favorable results tomorrow, I’ve been spending too much stress on this.

Not that I’m not going to stop with Data Analysis. I suppose anything I do to practice this and perfect it as a craft will eventually be part of my engagement in LinkedIn. They seem to know what they’re doing for that platform.

HIGH: Data Science Assignment done. Just waiting on feedback and results!
LOW: Didn’t eat like shit, not as much as yesterday at least. Didn’t work out or run, but I’ll make up for that tomorrow.
