Day 0

I start a cleanse today, and I thought I might as well hit more than one bird with one stone, methodically, and on the record. Might as well get more than one challenge down as August ends and September begins.

One such challenge is Jeff Goins’ 500 words a day project; hence, this post. I will keep things as consistent as possible. Through these days I will be logging things here and there. It may be possible that I don’t just post here but on an excel file as well, for easy data analysis in the future.

Today I woke up around 7:30, but I slacked for an hour – I stayed in bed and watched videos I downloaded from YouTube. I finally jumped out of bed, and took my first 2 Paraway pills – if you should know, I will be taking 2 of these pills first thing in the morning for 10 days, and up the dosage to 5 for the next 10 days. I’ll say this – I certainly felt the pills right away.

I was supposed to go on my 3rd Randonautica run, but the spots the app suggested we’re either too far, or in subdivisions. I ended up running anyway because I needed batteries for my ‘smart scale’ – in quotations because I’m not so sure I’m confident in how smart it could be.

And speaking of scales and weight, I’m at 137 flat right now. I hope to bring that down, or at least just bulk up and lean down. Not sure that makes sense, but I want to be as close to Bruce Lee as I could. Hence the body weight circuit and the dumbbell circuit, topped off by an Ab challenge.

Didn’t try breaking any records today I’m afraid

Workouts: 4 sets, 5 pull-ups to 10 pushups to 15 squats. 4 sets, 25lb DBs 5 single-arm bicep curls to 5 simultaneous bicep curls; 40lb DB Goblet squats. Athlean-X 6 Pack Promise. I was listening to an Andrew Farley podcast while all this was going on. Title: God’s Big Fat Greek Wedding, Part 1. Prayed and just sat down after the working out.

While waiting for the water to boil I took care of my plants. Took that bath, dressed up, done by 10:50. Honestly? Could have done better if I didn’t slack this morning. On the other hand I hate how I wake up without energy.

Finally did some minor work in the computer. I have to note that DFA’s Baguio reservations are full. Maybe October I can get something.

Lunch and pastor’s meeting. Took pictures of each pastor while waiting. Listened to the pastors who spoke yesterday. Did some editing.

Apparently I’m not the only one into healthy eating round here in church.

I finally got home around past 5pm. I had a heavier dinner, even if I promised myself I would have oatmeal… there were lots of leftovers to handle.

As I keep saying, do better tomorrow.

After dinner I did some posting on Social Media while watching Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels. I see where Snatch copied a whole lot of that movie but they were both by Guy Ritchie weren’t they? It was a good movie. Finally got everything done by around 10pm.

And so I’m here, just writing what was in my notebook. This may eventually have a format of its own.

  • Food: Recorded
  • Plants: Done
  • Room/Sala: Cleaned
  • Steps: ~4000, Band died early
  • Trades: 3 from Robert Kosaka, 3 from Telegram group.
  • Article: 500 words, more or less.

Refer to notebook for upcoming tasks. This should be good for now.
