Movement for Foundation, Movement from Foundation.
Implementation against Impunity. Restoration unto Responsibility, from Responsibility unto Restoration.
Thank You, Father, for the reading of Your Word.
Psalm 125
The LORD the Strength of His People
A Song of Ascents.
1 Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.
As we trust in the Lord, we are established. We are as Mount Zion; reconciled to the Most High, we abide with Him, and therefore cannot be moved.
Christ surrounds us. We are protected, as Jerusalem is protected by the surrounding mountains.
I don’t know… I seem to be defaulting to this way of thinking and writing, as a response to the Psalms being read: We claim the promises as expressed in the composition, because of Christ and His finished work.
To be honest, I could be writing about so many more things, I could be crossing tasks off of my to-do list… But for now I choose to be blank, and to just let Scripture flow through the old noggin.
3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
4 Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, And to those who are upright in their hearts.
Because the Lord does good to us, we are able to do good. Through Christ and His finished work, we have been made righteous and upright, and we move with the same righteousness and uprightness, thinking long and hard before the thought of reaching towards iniquity sticks to the obscure edges of our minds.
Take note – the scepter of wickedness may still fall against our descendants… but it shall not rest upon the lands He gives to us, much less upon us. It shall not remain. It shall pass and/or fade away.
5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, The LORD shall lead them away With the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!
Let us continue to give thanks to God, for through Christ we are protected and established.
Give God thanksgiving and praise, because through Christ we have been made righteous, upright – and though wickedness may have the upper hand, we are at peace, knowing it shall not dwell upon the land.
Sometimes we just need to embrace the slump, knowing that even as we slack off, we have a faithful God, and a trustworthy Father.

It’s the next day. My nephew’s graduation rites playing in the background. I should be driving off to a fellowship and speaking session but…
Thank You again, Father, for the reading of Your Word.
Psalm 126
A Joyful Return to Zion
A Song of Ascents.
1 When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream.
2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”
3 The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.
4 Bring back our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.
5 Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.
6 He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.

Picking up from here. Coming from Psalm 25: Because of Christ, we have true power – To be precise, this is power in which we are established, and a goodness that brings us to do good ourselves.
…and here, in Psalm 26, we can also pick up that we are able to do great things, out of the great things of the Lord – The great things He has done, the great things He is doing, and the great things He has promised to give, the great things He has promised to do for us.
That’s actually another note to myself.
In the last post, we’re reminded – I’m reminded – to give a proper assessment to the sheer greatness and goodness of our God… Especially when all we see happening in and around is leaves much to be desired.
Here, in this Psalm in particular, we’re reminded – I’m reminded – to, if needs be, force myself into remembrance of all the great and good things that the Lord has done, particularly when we know the great and good things we ought to be doing, but for some reason are not able to take that vital step forward.
The solution is Christ, in both situations.
When all we see is going down the drain, let us have some self-respect – that is, let us look to Christ, and give thanks for who we are through Him and in Him.
When we are in a slump and have difficulty taking first steps, let us worship, and give respect – that is, let us look to Christ, and see that, through Him, the Lord has done great and good things.
Christ is the Movement that determines the Foundation.
Christ is the Foundation that empowers the Movement.
By Christ, we implement, that we would come strong against impunity.
He took Responsibility for our Restoration, that in Restoration, we are able to take Responsibility.
When all we see is bad, and when we can’t pick ourselves up to do good, bring it back to Christ.
The Lord bless us all. Amen.
