Words of the season:

Dwell. Wait. Be Still. Elevate. Neglect.

Dwell, I tell myself. Dwell on the Word. Dwell in the presence of the Lord. Dwell on His sayings, dwell in His wisdom. Receive revelation. Receive knowledge and direction.

Wait, I tell others, and myself. Wait on the Lord, and renew your strength as the eagle’s. Wait on the Lord, that you would run, and not grow weary.

Be still. Yes, dwell in the Word of the Lord, wait on His Spirit, and in so doing, be still, and know who the Lord is in each and every situation.

Yes, JB, be still and know who the Lord is, no matter how so many things are unfolding. Be still, and know that God is God; Know that He is who He says He is, in all that is going on globally, continentally, nationally, locally, and personally.

Know that the Lord is our Provider, even in a global fuel crisis. Know that the Lord is our Direction, even in recent talks between China and the USA; He is our Shield, regardless of who takes claim of Scarborough Shoal and the Spratly Islands.

Know that Grace and Truth come with the Lord Jesus Christ, in spite of all the crazy things that are going on in the highest courts and the (supposedly) safest and most prestigious of government halls here in our country; He is our Peace, regardless of the power grid failing, the water crisis and the crackdown of illegal gambling halls in our fair city.

Oh, praise the Lord! His Spirit overflows wherever I am, for He is present; He is here!

Give praise and thanks to God, for nothing can ever separate us from His love. Interpersonal crises between church members cannot separate us from His love. His love is over us and very present in and around us, more than sickness that threatens our homes and our elderly.

Give praise and thanks to the Lord, JB! For the Lord is truly doing a great thing in you, as He staves all of the old that has passed away, graciously reminding you of all things being made new. Take heart and stay the course, and know that God is and has always been faithful!

Indeed, my God is faithful and I am knowing that my God is working ALL things for the good of those who love Him. I know that He is working, not only in my own heart but also certainly in the hearts and minds of all who concern me, and all who I am concerned about.

Indeed, through walls have been built and ties have been cut and blocks have been initiated, nothing can ever separate us from the love of God, through Jesus Christ.

Thank God for His Word, and thank God for we are ministered to very clearly, as we dwell on His Word.

We are still, and we shall know that God is God, even as we are called to elevate – to step things up.

I thought it ironic or contradicting for a while there – we can’t be still AND elevate at the same time, now can we?

Thing is, the deeper we dig down, the closer we are to hitting basins, for water to gush up.

We shall be still, dwell deeper into His Word, dive deeper into His Love… and Life shall elevate us up.

Being still doesn’t necessarily mean to be immobile. We’re moving, and we’re being more intentional in our movements, that we move with intention, purpose, and depth.

Yes, I tell myself that we are moving with cause over comfort, with purpose over procrastination and pleasure; We’re reversing neglect; repairing, conserving, maintaining.

And through our dwelling, our waiting, our being still; Through the elevation of our intentions, the escalation of things happening, and our overall coming against the old that has passed away, and moving in all that has been made new…

We are flowing in the Spirit, thanking our Father, and trusting Christ through it all…

…all for the unity of His Body, the expansion of His Kingdom, and the utmost glory of His Name.

Amen.

Communication is paramount, and therefore the Word of the Lord ought to take even higher priority – in our dealings with each other (the unity of His Body), our transactions with the world (the expansion of His Kingdom), and with regards to consistency in our inner parts (the utmost glory of His Name).

With regards to both conflicts and cooperation, and with regards to both falling out and falling in, we communicate from the grace and goodness of God, representing His glory and greatness. The Spirit convicts us, and through Him we communicate.

Or, from another point of view, we speak and respond with a mindset of rejoicing, giving thanks, and praying without ceasing.

When we find ourselves in heavier and high-impact conversations, it helps to always keep this in mind. I just thought to air this out because many such conversations have also come up as of late.

Sorry, this is all coming from everything that’s been happening as of late. I’m just thankful that through the seasons we have a reliable, trustworthy and Living Word to minister to us – not just as individuals, but as a collective Body, and not just in our singular circumstances, but in the flow of events as a whole.

I pray that we continue to stay steadfast in the love of our Father, resting on the finished work of Jesus Christ, and revelling in the sure presence of the Holy Spirit – God with us in this existence full of adventure and opportunity.

Dwell. Wait. Be Still. Elevate. Neglect.

Flow. Trust God. Thank God.

Rejoice. Pray. Give Thanks.

All for the unity of His Body, the expansion of His Kingdom, and the utmost glory to His Name.

Amen.

So much done, so much left to do. But God is good, and He is good all the time.

What a great and awesome Father we have.

Reading of the Word to follow.

God bless us all.
