From Fear To Perfect Love – July 19, 2026 (247/365)

Deeper and deeper I’m falling in love with you.

Brought back takeaways from Ptr Danny, during the Introduction To Strategic Missions and his message last July 5.

Encouraged the Youth again, based on Jeremiah 1:4-11: Don’t say ‘I’m too young’ or ‘I’m just a youth’, know that the Lord shall put His words into your mouth. Take heart, take courage!

Brought back takeaways from Ptr Didier and Helen from Burkina Faso; Their message last July 12, 2026 was entitled Jesus is our Hope, featuring the lady with the issue of bleeding.

They quoted Romans 10:10: For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. And while I was able to take notes for a good chunk of their message, I just had to put the notebook down as they stayed consistent in their energy, indirectly speaking of the great impact of the Gospel in their part of the world.

I mean, Didier spoke in French, while Helen translated. But there wasn’t just translation of words, but also a firm transfer of power – because as Didier spoke in power, so Helen translated powerfully. The entire message was simple, but left a good deal of power: Jesus Christ is our only Hope in this wretched world. He is our only true Hope here in the Philippines, as much as He is the Hope of our brethren in Burkina Faso.

One thing, though, now that I’m writing all about this, oh, 3 days since I did this recap: God puts the words in our mouths. But in the same Epistle to the Romans, we also read that this same Word is near us, in our mouth AND in our heart (Romans 10:8, quoted from Deuteronomy 30:14).

Message I shared last Sunday was a consolidation, rather, a reflection of the Word that was shared to me in the early morning of July 4. It may have been entitled From Fear to Perfect Love, but I think we can also call it Rest In Peace… again.

Between July 3-4 I couldn’t sleep. I tossed, I turned, I punched pillows, I prayed, I read. As a last resort I went to my Mom at around 3–4 in the morning, like a kid, telling her I couldn’t sleep. She massaged my head and she prayed, telling me I think too much and I should focus on the Lord.

At that time I resorted to going back to bed, and opening my Bible. I thought, if I couldn’t sleep, at least I could take in the Word. So I opened my Bible and landed in Isaiah 54. Isaiah 54:11-17 hit me like they were written for that exact moment:

11 “O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires.

12 I will make your pinnacles of rubies, Your gates of crystal, And all your walls of precious stones.

First of all, I pointed out that, yes, that’s me. Afflicted. Tossed with tempest. Not comforted. Thank You, Lord.

But going on, we read on how the Lord makes a promise here: That not only are we provided with a sure foundation, but one of precious stones; That is to say, not only are we provided for, but we are also adorned.

13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children.

14 In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you.

And not only are we founded as individuals, but our children, and our children’s children shall also be established so preciously, so surely. They shall not necessarily be given sure foundations of rubies and sapphires, but primarily founded in the Word.

The Word serves as our solid Foundation – first in the Spirit, that we would be stable in the mind, that we would stand firm in our bodies.

And so it is with us in the body of Christ – founded first in the Spirit by being reconciled to the Father, that we would be secure in our minds, and established in our bodies.

15 Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.

16 “Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy.

17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.

And not only do we stand firm, not only are we adorned; We are also protected – from assemblies that gather specifically against us, and from weapons formed against us, seeing as God formed the ones forming the weapons – setting them up for failure as early as their formation.

And one kicker I shared at the time: If this is the heritage of the SERVANTS of the Lord, how much more are be beloved; How much more do we enjoy, those of us in the Body, made SONS and DAUGHTERS of the Most High through Christ?

Some of you have been tossed lately too. Fear. Uncertainty. Pressure. Sickness. Finances. Family. We’re made sons and daughters. Think of how much we are loved.

Perfect love casts out fear — and that perfect love has made us sons and daughters, not servants begging for crumbs.

¹⁵ For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” ¹⁶ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, ¹⁷ and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.Romans 8:15-17

You did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear. You received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry “Abba, Father!”

That’s why we can lie down in peace and sleep (Psalm 4:8).
