Thank you for the birthday greetings. Thank you for 5 years of the Aces. Thank you for the surprise video. I’m reminded of people being our greatest blessing, second of course to Christ.
We have people. We had our clan reunion yesterday. I think it’s fitting, what we sang:
1 Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love; the fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above.
2 Before our Father’s throne we pour our ardent prayers; our fears, our hopes, our aims are one, our comforts and our cares.
3 We share our mutual woes, our mutual burdens bear, and often for each other flows the sympathizing tear.
6 From sorrow, toil, and pain, and sin, we shall be free; and perfect love and friendship reign through all eternity.
Thank you, Aces’ Youth and Kids. We enjoyed your presentation.
There was a lot to gather.
At an early age, you can be sure that the world isn’t giving you any sort of consideration.
This world is fallen and brutal, and it is brutal, even to our youth.
We may call it unthinkable, but even our younger ones are not spared from situations that do not have direct solutions, circumstances with no clear answers.
But we give God the glory, because sure as the world is out to steal, kill and destroy us… Well, the Truth is that Christ came to give us life, and life abundant.
The Spirit is faithful to us. Showing up in unimaginable forms or ways, or just really ways we could not deny…
Which leads me to what I believe is the theme for this month and the next, for this second quarter of 2026 – We’re to Dwell. We’re to be Still.
I wanted to work only with my worship team, but I believe that this is an exercise I want all of us as Aces to do – to dwell in the Word and find revelation, in said hopelessness.
People have died suddenly, and we’ve been seeing one post after the other.
Entire families have been brought into chaos.
The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
Psalms 34:18
17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.
18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.
20 The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, And all flesh shall bless His holy name Forever and ever.
Psalms 145:17-21
15 O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.
Psalms 51:15-17
15 For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Isaiah 57:15
In tragedy, Christ is close to us.
11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.Matthew 24:11-12
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.2 Timothy 3:1-7
1 How lovely is Your tabernacle, O LORD of hosts!
2 My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, Where she may lay her young— Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, My King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You.
Selah
Psalms 84:1-4
11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD,
“That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD.
12 They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, But shall not find it.Amos 8:11-12
4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”Daniel 12:4
Dwell in His Word, be Still and worship.
As we worshipped these Words came to mind: Psalm 8, Job 7:17-18 and The Prodigal Son
See, revelations come with critical events. It’s natural for us in the body of Christ.
But you don’t need big bad things or special occasions to get there.
Worship is a critical event.
When we worship, the word is revealed. Also, when we study the word, we are naturally led to worship.
I believe this is our theme for this month and the rest of this quarter.
God bless us all.
