The storm has not made its way to our mountains yet.
It is cloudy outside but nothing else happening. We are anticipating it coming in later this afternoon.
Praying that it just literally breezes by without any damage.
Praying for the mercies of our God to prevail.
With this storm coming, and with all the damage endured, with the anticipation of the long work shifts in spite of this trouble with the weather, I couldn’t help but sit down and bow my head. With all that’s going on with other families within my sphere of influence, and with the only option left being to pray… My God, am I praying.
Even now I’m praying. Oh, how I wish it was like Songbird in Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty… Where I’m typing right now, and a duplicate entity of me is in the same room, on his knees, praying and lifting his voice up to the Most High.
I suppose the Holy Spirit fills in where we could only fantasize… and I am thankful that He prays for us, prays with us in utterings we do not understand. I am thankful, because while we’re all about praying in tongues or praying in the Spirit, the Truth remains that whether we are actively praying or not, it’s the Spirit that reminds us of our constant communion with the Most High, and His consistent communication with the divine and the infinite.
I am thankful, because no matter what happens now and in the foreseeable future, the Spirit prays on my behalf… Just as our Father surrounds me with songs of salvation and deliverance. Just as the same Spirit consistently convicts me of what I was, who I am, and what is to come… all for His glory and for the praise of His name.
Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Father. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Holy Spirit. You move in our midst, You help us. You are for us, not against us. You are our Acceptance in the face of painful rejection. You are the perfect Love that casts out all fear. You are the infinite Light that shines in the darkness, the Life superior to death.
Thank You, Lord. Thank You so much.
Psalm 108
A Song. A Psalm of David.
1 O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
2 Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.
3 I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations.
4 For Your mercy is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the clouds.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And Your glory above all the earth;
6 That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and hear me.
We sing praises to the King of Kings and to the Lord of Lords. We recognize Him, and Him alone, as our Salvation, and our Deliverance. We give thanks and praise to the name of our God, singing, worshipping in Spirit and in Truth, knowing that even now, we are protected, we are rescued.
We sing of His great love, and of His great power and wisdom demonstrated through His great love. Even now, as I type, I know we are being held in His hands, and He never lets us go.
We thank God, because we are constantly in His embrace, and nothing can ever take us away from Him, nothing can snatch us from His hands. He is present, He is here, He is with us, ministering to each and every one of us.
Indeed, let His name continuously be praised and lifted up – He is high above the clouds, yes, even the clouds of this terrible storm. He is high above the mountains that we face, and His life and love strike deeper than the greatest pains we endure.
We praise Him! We glorify Him! Oh, He is worthy of all praise, worthy of all glory – By His obedience we have been saved, taken from darkness into His kingdom of everlasting light.
His Truth is higher than the heavens, and His mercies extend beyond the clouds – yes, His mercies that are new with every morning, and also higher than the clouds, every morning.
Thank You, Lord! Thank You!
7 God has spoken in His holiness: “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem And measure out the Valley of Succoth.
8 Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for My head; Judah is My lawgiver.
9 Moab is My washpot; Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Over Philistia I will triumph.”
The nations are the Lord’s. He holds the world in His hands.
He holds our country in His hands. For our sake He calms the storm. We thank Him, for the winds and waves obey Him. No weapon formed against His beloved shall prosper. No curses said against the body of Christ shall come to pass.
Even in our trouble, we continue to proclaim the infinite superiority of our God. Even in the pain, our Father is good. Even in the danger, our Father watches over us and protects us – Guarding our minds just as much as He does not allow our physical bodies to stumble along the path.
God is our Guidance, our Deliverance. He is our present Help – He is our Help, MY Help, here, and now. All of my burdens are at His feet, in His throne of grace.
We continue to trust in Him, and we are assured that we will not be put to shame.
10 Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom?
11 Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?
12 Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless.
13 Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
Father, You are with us now.
We delight in You. We delight in Your presence.
We may be without so many things, we may be without so many people, but we give thanks,
For our Savior, Jesus Christ, is Faithful and True.
Through my tirades, and through my outbursts and outpouring, You remain constant. You remain faithful, willing and able to help.
You help us, here and now.
Jesus, as You have saved us, so You continue to deliver us – from storms we see with our eyes, and storms in our mind.
You speak: ‘Peace, be still!‘
We are nothing on our own. We HAVE nothing on our own.
Christ is everything. Our Father is all to us. All for us.
Thank You, Father. Thank You, Jesus, Thank You, Spirit.
Thank You, Lord, for everything.
All glory and honor ascribed to Your name, Father, now and forever.
To the King of Kings and to the Lord of Lords, we shout, ‘Glory!‘
Amen.
