Thank God for all that’s been going on. Thank God for all that’s been happening – thank God for all that’s happened and thank God for all that is to happen. But more than this, we give thanks to God for His faithfulness through it all.
Our God has been with us for sure – we can testify to His presence, His faithfulness, and His love for us throughout the entire year of 2024, and we are sure that He will continue to be constantly faithful, consistently loving us, in this year to come.
We thank Him, because He has led us to move, He has led us to trust Him, and now, He is the One more or less entrusting us with revelations – more learning. He will teach us. He will guide us. He will reveal things to us. He will open our eyes to things that can hardly be seen, our ears to what can hardly be heard.
He shall expand our territories so we are able to accommodate these new things, and He shall expand our minds so we are wisely able to handle these new revelations.
We have trusted in Him, and we have not been put to shame.
Consequently, this year, not only do we trust in Him, but we call upon Him – and when we call upon Him, again, He shall reveal to us things we do not yet know.
Psalm 119:89-96
LAMEDH
89 Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.
90 Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.
91 By your appointment they stand this day, for all things are your servants.
92 If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life.
94 I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts.
95 The wicked lie in wait to destroy me, but I consider your testimonies.
96 I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is exceedingly broad.
Yes, Father, we have much reason to praise You! For surely as You are faithful and constant, so Your word is consistent – firmly fixed in the heavens. I’m reminded of what was mentioned by Paul in Romans 1 – that the glory of God is seen in all creation, and surely, His Word is fixed in the heavens. That’s a lesson there – look up, and be led to His Word.
We thank God, because not only have we seen His faithfulness throughout the very eventful year of 2024, here we’re assured by the Psalmist that this faithfulness goes beyond years and even decades – God’s faithfulness endures to all generations, as it has endured, I dare say, since the establishment of the earth, or since the beginning, in Creation.
God’s faithfulness is as His Word, standing to this day unto forever. Indeed, I do remember where, in some of the very first verses of the entire Bible, God spoke and shared His word. He said, ‘Let there be light!’, and there was light – At least one minister pointed out that He never said anything about stopping the light on that level, so it’s assumed that the light has not stopped in coming forth, obeying God’s Word and Command.
We thank God – yes, we give Him praise! For indeed, it is by His word that we are able to receive revelations right then and there – and here I’m reminded of how we ought to continue delving and feeding on the Word, just so that we are ready in any season, to provide a timely Word; And on top of this, we not only receive, but we will give revelations as this year progresses.
As our God is faithful, so His Word is faithful, in that it endures; And because God’s Word is as true as it endures, so we are able to endure. The point here being just as the Psalmist said: If not for God’s word, we surely would have fallen, or we surely would have perished numerous times in the past – from affliction, which comes as a consequence of our own action/inaction, and/or from this fallen world, from the outside in. God’s faithful and enduring Word has protected us, and will continue to preserve us.
And, see, not only are we protected from death, but by God’s word, He has given us life. That’s a nice summary of how we were saved, here and now: Through Christ and His finished work, we have been saved by way of being protected from death, and by being given life.
But see, it goes deeper than that, because the Psalmist says, ‘I am Yours’; what does this imply? It is because we are His, and He is with us, that we have been saved from death, unto eternal life.
In God’s presence we see His faithfulness – and it’s no surprise that we also behold His Word when we reflect on His faithfulness; He is as True as His Word, after all. Another way of seeing it is that when we count on His faithfulness, we shouldn’t be surprised if we encounter His Word, or are otherwise reminded of His equally faithful Word. It also works the other way around: When we go through His Word, we’re also given front-row tickets to more perspectives of just how faithful He is.
In God’s presence we see His faithfulness, and we see how He is true to His Word. This is a Truth that endures and stands, no matter how intricate the plans of the wicked are to steal from us, kill us and destroy us. Even in their most devastating and deviant of plots, God’s faithfulness is proven by His Word, and God’s Word reminds us of His faithfulness.
Indeed, what could we say in reflection, but to give Him thanks?
Thank You, Father, for Your Word.
Thank You, Father, for through Your Word, we behold Your faithfulness.
Thank You, Father, for when we see Your faithfulness, we see the impact and the consistency of Your Word.
Thank You, Father, because in understanding and eventually appreciating how Your faithfulness and Your Word come together, it is natural for us to understand that this synergy comes FOR and FROM Your presence – guaranteed by Christ and His finished work.
Thank You, Father, because in Your presence are revelations, and meditations.
Thank You, Father, because by reflecting in Your good presence, we see more of Your goodness that leads to repentance; Therefore, we are transformed by the renewing of our mind.
Thank You, Father, that You have transformed us not only so the old has passed away – but here and now, You have reminded us that the new has come.
I have reason to believe that this means that we no longer are built for sin and the flesh, but have been made new for the Spirit (as new wineskins) and for righteousness unto eternal life.
Before we have been re-made to contain revelations, we have been made new to conform and to be compatible with righteousness.
There’s a revelation.
Thank You, Lord.
Until the next post, may the Lord continue to bless us. Amen.
