The Truth of War, The War of Truth

Last year, we proclaimed, was one of Movement. We move, as Christ moved for us.

This year we proclaimed would be a year of Trust. One comes after the other. We’ve moved, we’ve learned, and what we learned was to trust.

Year of Movement, Year of Trust. We move, trusting in the Lord, and especially in these times, where there is:

  1. Significant Lack of Knowledge; That is, the suppression of facts, and the promotion of falsehood.

Therefore my people go into exile for lack of knowledge;

their honored men go hungry, and their multitude is parched with thirst.

Isaiah 5:13

  1. Acceptance of Lies; That is, not merely the suppression of knowledge, but the rejection of knowledge, and the promotion of foolishness.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge,

I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God,

I also will forget your children.

Hosea 4:6a

We are destroyed, and ‘going into exile’. Are we, then, to jump into the conflict? Should we do what we can to push the facts, and push acceptance of knowledge?

Perhaps, but maybe we should consider another strategy in this battle. That is, let us not engage as the world does, confused over facts and fake news. Let’s take a step back and understand, that behind the mass confusion, the mass psychosis, is our real enemy who is pulling the strings in this fallen reality:

  1. Know the real enemy

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:10-12

  1. Know the enemy’s moves

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

“Okay, cool! We know who the real enemy is, now let’s attack him!”

Hold it, hotshot. Are we going to jump into conflict with an enemy who has had millennia of experience? Let’s not do that. In fact, let’s escalate it… and find out, in this age of battles of knowledge, the War of Truth has already been won.

In knowing our enemy, we appreciate our Salvation.

And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me. But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

Acts 20:22-24

Understanding the enemy and his moves causes us to appreciate Christ and His finished work.

Let us testify the Truth of Christ, in this confused world. We move, trusting in the Lord, ‘de victoriam, ad victoriam’: TO victory, FROM victory.

To God be all the glory and praise, forever and ever.

God bless us all.
