Good Father, Great Spirit – March 13, 2024 (80/365)

I should be getting ready to sleep now but I think I want to squeeze my brain out a little more. I just want to say that in all things that are going on, whether I find myself at peace with the progress of all that I’m up to, or I find myself frustrated at reminders of the past, where a lot of rejections and regrets still try to pop up out of nowhere – In ALL things, our God is faithful.

God is faithful, and it’s only His faithfulness that matters because He is our all in all. What does this mean? Well, considering the present and the past I just mentioned, I could go ahead and say that our God, whom we call Father, is faithful to cause all things to work for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose – now that’s one verse I just love to keep repeating in these parts, but I find it comforting to come back to, especially when thinking about the unchangeable past.

All the past pains caused to me, all the regrets I have of past decisions that, in my mind are still wrong or unresolvable, or all the cringe moments I could not change, but only remember – all of these things are constantly, repeatedly lifted up to the Lord… and not necessarily for my satisfaction, more than it is a continuous entrusting to the One who knows all the angles of all that’s happened in my life and in everyone’s lives, since the dawn of time and space.

And I COULD just keep laying these burdens of the past at His feet, whenever they do come back to haunt me, or when the enemy keeps throwing them at me to condemn me or to have me condemn myself… our Father is more than willing to take it all in and respond according to His infinite power, everlasting love, and eternal wisdom… each and every time, without faltering.

Our Father does what He does, in addition to doing all that needs to be done, just so we would have peace with our past.

Now with regards to the present, I say our God, who is our all in all, is faithful – Because not only is He our Father, present in the eternities and the heavens, giving us peace for our past each and every time it comes back to haunt us; No, our God, who is our all in all, is also with us as the Holy Spirit – who is with us right here, right now.

He is our Fire who causes us to move in the present, if we are led to move in the marketplace to declare the mighty works of God.

He is our Wine, our New Wine serving as an acknowledgement of how we have been made new wineskins. Christ turned water to wine at a wedding, and through Christ’s finished work, we have been filled with New Wine, the best wine, in celebration of our reconciliation with God.

…And, wow, isn’t that something? We see a new perspective into the ministry of reconciliation (which was done to us through Christ, and which we do for others in celebration) by way of the Holy Spirit being our wine – the confirmation of our being made new, and the celebration of our being reconciled to God.

As we’ve just talked about in a more recent post, the Holy Spirit is our Spirit of Wisdom, just as He is the Spirit of Wisdom passed on from Moses to Joshua in the wilderness, before they crossed the Jordan. The Holy Spirit is also our Spirit of Truth, whom Christ mentions would lead us into all truth; and, apparently, the ultimate truth that we would always be led to, the greatest wisdom that we ought to know, is all in what the Holy Spirit convicts us of – righteousness.

I see that when we are reminded of our being righteous, this means that we have been recreated and reconciled.

And while we’re on the topic, I believe another perspective to the conviction coming from the Holy Spirit has Him saying we’ve been made righteous, but we’ve also been made holy. I only make this bold claim because while we are so quick to elaborate on holiness as our being ‘set-apart’ from ‘the world’, the Holy Spirit also reminds us of the other side of the coin: that we are also ‘set-apart’ to God, or set into God so we are in His presence, and He is always with us…

He is not merely moving in our past, but we should also appreciate and celebrate how He is with us here, in the now. In the present.

And I am thankful, that even now, in my current state of being drained… I’m being ministered to by no less than our great God. For the present regrets of my past, and all the wrong decisions I’ve made… for all the times I’ve blown it, all the people I’ve taken from granted, all the people I’ve hurt and gotten hurt by – all these things, I just continue to lift up to the Lord, our God, who is our Father.

For the fears of today, and the worries in my immediate vicinity or in this time, I thank God because of His Spirit CONSTANTLY reminding me, that even in the worst that could happen, He is the best thing that happens to me, right here, right now.

To think I haven’t even talked about the future. There’s so much to cover in the past and present, and I am just so thankful, so amazed that He has my past and present covered. Thank You so much, Lord.

I’m sorry, I just thought I’d start off, and just keep going. I hope this added value to you, just as it fixed and rearranged things for me. Thank you for going this far.

Until the next post, God bless you.
