Love and prayer are the same in this: it’s not about what we get but what we give.
As Christ loved us while we were still sinners, so we are to be as indiscriminate in loving and praying for all without any bias or pretense. If we are able to pray for our friends and family we should pray even more for those who have tested and harmed us!
Love and prayers are proportional – the quantity and quality of our love for another is seen in how we pray for them. The way we respond to God’s perfect love for us is seen in how we love those who hate us.
