Psalm 67 – April 8, 2026 (140/365)

Not sure if I’m feeling better. But hey, it’s another day, no matter what’s in my heart.

And for what’s in my mind… well, let’s let things flow again.

Thank You, Lord, for the reading of Your Word.

Psalm 67

An Invocation and a Doxology

To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song.

1 God be merciful to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us,

Selah

Here’s where I notice a ‘selah‘ mid-sentence. Makes sense to be still, to stay silent and to breathe while you transition from one thought to another.

In all that’s going on we do cry out for mercy, we do sing for favor and blessings.

With everything happening all at once, we definitely need our Father, and a fresh outpouring of His mercy and favor.

What does that even mean? Off the bat I’m thinking it’s a fresh and abundant revelation of God’s mercy and compassion upon us, significantly visible despite all events and circumstances unfolding right in front of us.

It’s a natural and overflowing manifestation of God’s divine favor and approval towards the body of Christ, for one and all to see.

2 That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.

3 Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You.

4 Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, And govern the nations on earth.

Selah

Indeed, we cry out for blessings for mercy and favor in these times, and for the reason that not only are we relieved of pain and comforted of loss, but also for the goodness of our Father to be seen by the rest of the world.

We cry out for mercy and favor, for our rescue and salvation, and for the world to see – that the world may have cause to consider Your greatness and goodness, and that they may join as we sing; Of our Father, and how He is both willing AND able to help us.

In our grief let us find cause to shout for joy, and to sing His praises – for we will not allow singular circumstances and/or detrimental situations to hold us down. No, our trust shall ultimately be brought back to our Father and our Creator; Back to our Savior, our King of Kings and our Lord of Lords.

5 Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You.

6 Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.

7 God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

Let us not remain in the darkness; Let us not remain in sorrow. Let us remember that even in the setbacks, our Father is with us and for us.

Let us continue to abide in Him, and let us continue to meditate on the Living Word.

Then our spirits, and our entire being shall naturally sing of His praises again, and we will bear fruit in due season.

For the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory are Yours, Almighty Father, now and forever. Amen.

I don’t want to find a feeling or a thought right now. I just want to move. I just want to be still.

Yes, to be still, and to know that He is God. Right here, and right now.

God is good. God is good, all the time.

This is the one true God, the only God – The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is the God of Israel, the God and Father of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the only God I refer to, and there are no other gods beside Him.

All other ground is sinking sand. Christ is the only solid Rock on whom we stand.

And, right now, it’s not that we’re standing on Him… no, we rest in Him. We find rest and peace in Him, our Refuge and our Fortress. He is not only our strong Defense, but He also fights our battles for us.

We are still, and we are beholding who He is and how He works. He fights our battles, He moves in our midst, and in all things concerning us, in all things we’re concerned about.

For all that He is, and all He does, we are thankful.

Let us give thanks, and flow.

Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness and Your goodness. Yes, You ARE faithful, and You ARE good. I thank You, because no matter how we lose hope and trust in anything else in all creation, we can still run back to You, and find You constantly good, and consistently faithful.

Father, I thank You, for You are faithful to me as I write this, and You show Your goodness to all who happen to be reading this. I have no idea why they would be reaching this far, but I thank You for their life, and the lives of the families that they represent.

Father, I thank You, because You don’t stop at showing me Your goodness, but You show it to these folks who are browsing through this as well. I thank You, because You love them as much as You love me – You love them with an everlasting love.

Jesus, You offered Your body and blood for them as much as You did for me… and I give You thanks for Your perfect love for us, which saw You through Your finished work.

I thank You, Father; I thank You, Jesus, and I thank You, Holy Spirit – for You are with us through all that’s happening in and around the world. Through the never-ending conflict, through the wars and the rumors of wars, You cause us to endure, because You are with us.

Yes, Lord, through all the persecution that comes from the outside in, and through all the condemnation that seeks to sabotage us from the inside out, we continue to give You thanks, because You are faithful to convict us of the Truth, that we not only survive the onslaughts; No, we thrive even in the darkness.

We thank You, Jesus, for the Truth – the hopelessness of sin, the absolute salvation and righteousness we have through You, and for the eventual judgment of all evil.

We thank You, for who You are – Alpha and Omega, First and the Last, Beginning and the End; You are King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, and You are for us, and not against us.

We thank You, Jesus, for all You’ve done – guaranteeing that nothing in this world can ever separate us from the love of our Father.

We thank You, because You are faithful and true; You are faithful to finish the work You began in us.

You are faithful to cause all things to work for our good.

Thank You, Lord! For weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Thank You, Jesus! For You are the Word that was made flesh, and now dwells within us.

Thank You! For we are always in Your presence, and You are always with us!

In Your Name, continue to work in and through us, as we continue to ponder on You and Your Word;

Thank You, Father! For, indeed, in these times, we shall be still, and we shall know without a shadow of a doubt, that You are God.

Be exalted and praised, Lord! You deserve all the honor and glory.

Thank You, Lord.

Thank You so much.
