Joining All Creation (Ps 65) – April 6, 2026 (137/365)

Psalm 65

Praise to God for His Salvation and Providence

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. A Song.

1 Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; And to You the vow shall be performed.

2 O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come.

And so it shall be, in the fullness of time. Isaiah 66:22-23 reads as follows:

22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the LORD, “So shall your descendants and your name remain.

23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the LORD.

I’m led to consider that we as human beings (creations of no less than the Most High) were made to worship, and we were made to worship the Lord.

Now before we let this go ahead and sound so demanding of us, let’s understand that we in Christ were… well, created twice. We were born, and we were born again – created, and by the events we celebrated yesterday, re-created, so that now it’s natural for us to give praise and thanks to God as our Father.

Before Christ, we were ornate mausoleums – seemingly pretty and presentable on the outside, but dead and lifeless within. And now, thanks to Christ’s finished work, we have been torn down and re-created as temples of the Holy Spirit, where praise and thanksgiving happen naturally from within.

But, note – it mentions ALL flesh shall come to worship before the Lord, and not merely the body of Christ… and I believe this is because after all, every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Long story short – In the beginning, we messed things up at the Garden and Christ took the fall. In the end, Christ takes total victory, and all flesh shall worship before Him.

3 Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them.

4 Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.

What do we enjoy as living temples of the Holy Spirit? We enjoy atonement and forgiveness of all our sins (past, present and future), bought by Christ at the cross, and confirmed in His resurrection.

We naturally praise the Lord in His courts, enjoying His presence, and finding true satisfaction ‘with the goodness of (His) house‘; Indeed, as we’ve been stating again and again: In His presence, we find fullness of joy, we receive vindication, and, according to this part of Scripture, we find satisfaction.

5 By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas;

6 Who established the mountains by His strength, Being clothed with power;

7 You who still the noise of the seas, The noise of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.

There is already much cause to automatically, naturally praise the Lord in His presence! But, behold – He shall not cease in His wondrous works, and His awesome deeds in righteousness!

Let’s not forget that while we are in this fallen world, and on this side of eternity, we shall bear witness to some of the worst things that can ever happen to humanity; However, we give God all the glory, for we shall also witness our Father never ceasing in answering us.

Yes, the mountains move, the waters rage… But this all serves to give us more cause to place our trust in the One who made the mountains, and the One who calmed the oceans.

And so we praise Him, again and again – because we are in His awesome presence, and because we see His mighty works.

8 They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice.

9 You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it.

10 You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth.

11 You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.

12 They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, And the little hills rejoice on every side.

13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.

Let us join with all creation in proclaiming what all flesh shall proclaim in the end… that Jesus Christ is Lord.

In fact, let us not wait until the end for us to say it – Let us speak it and live it out, here and now. The battles may not always turn towards our favor, but it will never change the absolute Truth of Christ winning the war.

The truth stands and remains – The enemy is fully defeated, Christ is absolutely victorious, and we are completely alive… Here, and now.

Thank You, Father! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Holy Spirit! Be exalted in our lives, and show Your glory in a mighty, miracle-working way, in all we’re going through!

All honor and glory be to You, o God, now and forever!

When the oceans rise and thunders roar,

I will soar with You above the storm.

Father, You are King over the flood,

I will be still, know You are God.

(I will know) You are (our) Way Maker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, (and our) Light in the darkness.

(I know that) Even when I don’t see it, You’re working.

Even when I don’t feel it, You’re working.

You never stop, You never stop working.

Thank You so much, Father. Be glorified in our lives. Amen.
