On The Word, Wisdom and Progress (Ps/Prov 29) – March 01, 2026 (77/365)

…I think we’ll keep going here, and not go back to 1.

Thank You, Father, for the reading of Your Word.

Psalm 29

Ascribe to the LORD Glory

A PSALM OF DAVID.

1 Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.

Matching David’s energy here, in the face of what’s been going on, what’s happening, and what’s to come.

We give glory to the Lord, to the King of Kings, the everlasting God – for He was surely with us during that one critical church meeting we had last Friday. Now, granted, we didn’t finish all of the items as proposed on the agenda, but what we did finish, we finished in unity in the body of Christ, for the expansion of God’s kingdom, and the utmost glory of His name. I am, in ways not familiar, so amazed and still amazed at how things turned out.

By the way, our vision as a church now is: Transforming nations by the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, based on Acts 20:24, and Matthew 28:16-18.

The mission we agreed on to attain said mission is: To testify of the Gospel of God’s Grace to the world; Based, again, on Acts 20:24, Matthew 28:16-18, Acts 1:8, and Matthew 24:14.

I give glory to Jesus Christ, the Son in the Godhead, the only begotten Son, our Savior and Shepherd – for, even right now, as I’m recovering from a hindering combo of a runny/stuffy nose and cough; Even in this annoying affliction that is here and now, I have no doubt that my Father is causing all things to work for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. I am aware, now, even during all this, that my God, my Father is present, in the present; He is for me, not against me, and nothing can ever separate me from His everlasting, all-encompassing love.

By the way, I’m thankful to the Lord for whoever came up with the idea of those Lola Remedios liquid packets for throat relief… I sincerely believe it was a move of the Holy Spirit to inspire a local entrepreneur to concoct that wonderful blend of mint, cloves, honey, and all other sorts of spices.

Finally, I am thankful to the Holy Spirit – the proof of my salvation, the guarantee of my inheritance; for preparing me as early as now for the Sunday Service happening very soon (roughly 3 hours from now to be precise); We’re going to come together in the Spirit, and we’re going to agree on praise and worshipping God, praying for each other and receiving/proclaiming declarations.

By the way, I’m going to be leading a couple of songs in the keys of D and C#, in what might be the highest tolerable points in my vocal range (for now..?); I am very aware of my physical condition but I am very thankful because even right now, the Lord is at work.

I am thankful for healing, for restoration – both for immediate, physical concerns, and for drawn out, mental and heart issues.

Our God is worthy of all glory and strength, and we join with the angels in giving Him worship and praise… For our God is good, and He is holy.

3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, over many waters.

4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.

5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.

7 The voice of the LORD flashes forth flames of fire.

8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 The voice of the LORD makes the deer give birth and strips the forests bare, and in his temple all cry, “Glory!”

We thank God for speaking to us, for speaking for us; We acknowledge that the Voice of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is the premiere and highest voice there is, infinite in power.

By the voice of our Father, light came forth and continues to come forth. By the voice of our Father, mountains move, shooting up or fully flattened in an instant.

The Lord established day and night, and established the borders of this reality; As such, His voice transcends the scientific laws of of time and space, moving the earth, establishing life, provoking life-changing awe that would leave us in a state where the first and only choice is to give our Creator all the glory He deserves.

And as we go along reflecting on the sheer power and endless wisdom associated with the voice of our Father, we are also reminded of His gentleness, and the everlasting love, the true goodness in His words.

For, see, our God, whose voice thunders, whose voice breaks the trees: He also speaks to us, saying that He loves us with an everlasting love.

He speaks to us, encouraging us to call unto Him, that He would reveal things to us that we have never known before.

By His words are we brought into deep levels of simultaneous awe and humility, that we see, in one stroke – (1) How our God is glorious and great, powerful beyond all measure, wise beyond all counsel; and (2) how the Father, Son, and Spirit loves us so selflessly and so relentlessly, so decisively.

Indeed, we join in all who are in His temple, crying out: ‘Glory!

10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD sits enthroned as king forever.

11 May the LORD give strength to his people! May the LORD bless his people with peace!

Thank You, Father, for who You are, and for Your voice. Thank You, Jesus, for indeed, Your words are Spirit, and they are Life.

Thank You, Spirit, for Your conviction, readily sensed and discerned by all through all creation, that we are without excuse.

Indeed, may Your will be done – that is, for all to come repentance, for for none to perish.

We cry: Glory!

2 When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.Proverbs 29:2

4 By justice a king builds up the land, but he who exacts gifts tears it down.Proverbs 29:4

  • Here’s a gauge to see where leadership stands: No matter what is being said, it’s the people who are the ones we see.
  • Structure signifies order, and attracts progress. Chaos in leadership is also seen in how creation is treated.

3 He who loves wisdom makes his father glad, but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.Proverbs 29:3

  • Here’s a gauge to see where men stand: No matter what he says, if his father is glad, it’s a result of wisdom bestowed on him. In the absence of the father, his wealth and his spending tell us who he spends time and focus on more.

11 A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.

12 If a ruler listens to falsehood, all his officials will be wicked.Proverbs 29:11-12

  • There is foolishness and peril when mouths and ears are too open. Wisdom is demonstrated in discernment, both in what to say, and what to listen to.

I’m taking all this in now and am brought to realize something that was shared in last year’s Lessons and Carols event – Preparation is key. Wisdom takes time, not only to speak and to listen, but also to read.

With impulse is a high possibility of failure, but power is demonstrated in peace and calm, even if it is in microseconds, before an action or reaction.

People see the results of preparation. And in our case, in the body of Christ, we have the opportunity, always, to take in the Word of Christ, and to take in the Voice of the Lord, by way of Scripture, readily available to us, more now than ever.

And I’m remembering what I used to repeat all the time, years ago. It’s that one quote attributed to Francis Bacon:

Reading makes a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man

I have no doubt that as we continue to read the Word, we shall be full; When we conference (speak) the Word, we bolster and demonstrate readiness; and when we write the Word, our minds are clarified, and we are sharpened unto precision.

We take in the Word, we listen to His Voice… and we cry: Glory!

Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.Proverbs 29:20

Sorry, I just had to throw that in there.

Again, thank You so much, Father, for the reading of Your Word.

Let’s all have a beautiful, blessed, safe, productive and progressive week ahead.

Amen? Amen.
