All powerful, all glorious, there’s nothing like the name of Jesus;
All powerful, all glorious, there’s nothing like Your Name!
Your grace abounds to me, Your grace abounds to me;
Jesus, in You I find all that I need!
Needed to press the reset button. Needed to exhaust my body and mind to let everything flow again.
It’s during these times that it’s needed to focus on the Lord, and to give thanks, especially for the absolute forgiveness and the complete reconciliation we have through Jesus Christ and His finished work.
It’s during these times that I find myself needing to flow, to trust God, and to thank God; to rejoice, to give thanks, and to pray.
For in the confusion, in the tension, in the uncertainty, in the hopelessness, we still have a Firm Foundation, and a Solid Rock to stand on; We have a Savior who we can trust and depend on.
Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Father. Thank You, Holy Spirit. You have fully forgiven us. I recall, and cause every fiber of my being to remember, here and now – You have cleansed us of all sin.
You have cleansed us of all sin, becoming sin that we became Your righteousness. You have given us a new heart, part and parcel of our being made new creations. You have given us new ways of thinking, new mindsets, new priorities, new desires;
You’ve poured out righteous thoughts, righteous priorities, all that is righteous, that we being forth good works. Thank You, God.
The Spirit is the Guarantee of my Salvation. Christ is the Author of my Faith. God – Father, Son, and Spirit – gets all the glory.
Thank You, Father, for the reading of Your Word. For the cleansing that comes by Your Word.
As this week comes to a close, I think it’s fitting for me to claim the promises of Psalm 20. I want to personalize it so we claim it.
Psalm 20
We Trust in the Name of the LORD Our God
We thank the LORD, for He surely answers me in my days of trouble. He is the God of Jacob, and His name protects me.
Indeed, even His name is protection. Faith arises at the mention of His name. The enemy may prowl to and fro as a roaring lion, but as the rest of the demons who believe, they all tremble at the name of our victorious God.
We praise the LORD, for He send me help from His sanctuary, and He gives me support from Zion!
He remembers all our offerings of praise, and regards our burnt sacrifices of worship, with favor! Selah
Indeed, our sacrifices are no longer unblemished animals on the altar, but remembrances of thanks and praise, of the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world,
the Lamb of God who became sin and died the death we deserved. Because of Christ, we lift our praises, singing Hosanna and Halleluyah!
We thank the LORD, for through Christ we have been granted our heart’s desire, and our plans have been fulfilled!
We shout for joy over the salvation Christ paid for and the salvation guaranteed by the Holy Spirit!
We set up our banners in the name of the LORD!
Indeed, by the salvation Christ brought, and the reconciliation we’re constantly convicted of by the Spirit, we have cause to say that our hearts are satisfied, and that the plans to prosper us and not to harm us have already been fulfilled, now and forever.
By the finished work of Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit, we truly have genuine hope, and a bright future.
Praise the LORD! He fulfills all our petitions!
We are thankful, because now, as always, we know that the LORD saves His anointed. The LORD will answer us from His holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.
O LORD, Christ has risen, Christ is alive! Give Him praise, for He answers us when we call!
Just want to let my mind go for now.
Just want to allow my mind and my brain, my body even, to just release whatever’s in here.
And all I have to say at this moment, and at this time, is that my God and Father is as faithful now as He always is. He will never leave me, He will never forsake me. In His presence is vindication, and I sure need this vindication for all that’s going on, for all that’s happened to me, for all that’s happening to me, and for all that’s to come.
I need His presence and the consequent fullness of joy, considering everything that’s going on in and around my person, and in my sphere of influence. Just to know that He’s around, and He’s always with me, well, that’s what’s helping me right now. Understanding that He is the Living Word – Yes, Christ is the Word of Life and the Living Word – present here and now, gives me peace when I should be anxious.
I am at peace because I am being washed by this Word. It’s not mere knowledge, this Word is Spirit and it is Life for me, and I believe it is just moving in and around me, through me and all that concerns me, all that I’m concerned about. The Word ministers to me, and Christ gets all the glory.
The Word is Life to me, and Christ gets all the glory, and all the praise… as He deserves.
Thank You, Lord. Thank You, God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thank You for this time.
We set our hope on You,
We set our hope in Your love
We set our hope in the the One
who is the Everlasting God
You are the Everlasting God
I will remain confident in this: I will see the goodness of the Lord
I will remain confident in this: I will see the goodness of the Lord
Once again I apologize if I barely made any sense, if at all. I just pray, in the face of all that goes on, that we would all find peace, and that the Lord would just continue to be glorified as He sees us through it all. Amen.
