How has seeing Jesus in the Word impacted your own life?
- I feel I am exactly where I should be. I’m more excited to do my daily devotions. I just read Romans 8 and focused on where it was emphasized that God gave His only son… and I was just imagining how hard it was to even see how my own sons get sick. What a great love. I am grateful.
- 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?Romans 8:31-32
- For the past years, our reflection was on God being our faithful Father. We came from barely having anything to now seeing how much we’ve been spending so much with our credit card. And the thing is, it’s not the huge amount that we see more than we see how God is so faithful to have provided for us through it all.
- We aren’t even doing anything but the gentleness of the Lord is seen by others. What the Lord has done in our lives is seen in others. It’s natural.
- We’re being transfigured, transformed from glory to glory – not necessarily seen through miraculous signs and wonders, but, actually, especially in the mundane.
- This year has been such a struggle. I’ve heard and applied, ‘If you know that I got you, would you still need this or that?‘; I acknowledge that God is a God of much more, but it couldn’t be helped that I see how I’m struggling in my own battles… But more than the battles, I couldn’t help but see, again, how faithful our God is.
- I like how God checks on me, and how the struggles are reminders of His faithfulness.
- 15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.Ephesians 1:15-21
- TPT: I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling —that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!Ephesians 1:18
- Who is God to you?
- Me: 7Yahweh’s Word is perfect in every way; how it revives our souls! Yahweh’s laws lead us to truth, and his ways change the simple into wise. 8Yahweh’s teachings are right and make us joyful; his precepts are so pure! Yahweh’s commands challenge us to keep close to his heart! The revelation-light of his Word makes my spirit shine radiant. 9Yahweh’s decrees are trustworthy. The fear of Yahweh is pure, enduring forever. 10The rarest treasures of life are found in his truth. That’s why God’s Word is prized like others prize the finest gold. Sweeter also than honey are his living words— sweet words dripping from the honeycomb! Psalm 19:7-11 TPT
- The stakes are higher, but it only means we look, trust, and depend on the Most High.
- 1 I will praise You with my whole heart; Before the gods I will sing praises to You. 2 I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.Psalms 138:1-2
- It’s been in my mind: Am I worshipping God for who He is, or what He can do? Am I believing in Him in the wrong ways? Am I just seeing Him as a Provider who does great things for me, or how faithful He is? I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve seen who He is through He has done.
- Even before we came into existence, He loves us – tells us a lot about who He is. He doesn’t see how much we’ve sinned. He already made it before, arranged it so we see ourselves as He sees us – without fault.
- I see His word from the good that I see in others.
- 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
- Behold Christ in the Word, and be changed.
63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.John 6:63
Walk in His Spirit, walk in His Word and come alive.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.Ephesians 1:3-6
He loved us first, so we perform.
We can’t perform first, for Him to love us.
He gave us His best first.
Remembering Tactical Grace: Tactical grace is pre-emptive, pre-conceived.
We have so many reasons to complain, but with that are much more reasons to give thanks and praise to the Lord.
