Celebrating Jesus In The Word – January 29, 2026 (33/365)

CG Module 2026 Lesson 2

Facilitated by Dox

Recap: Luke 24 showing how important communion is. After they took bread ‘their eyes were opened‘… ‘He was known to them in the breaking of the bread‘; Reminder that the Word is revelatory, and, yes, remembering Christ in communion draws out their own (powerful) revelations.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.John 1:1

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”John 8:31-32

The Word is connected to the Truth, and vice versa. We point out Truth and set ourselves and others free. We take in the Truth, and we take in freedom – it makes its way into our being. Freedom flows in.

63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.John 6:63

This is Life, as in ‘Zoe’ Life.

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”Matthew 4:4

35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:35

We receive revelations, and not mere knowledge. We see Christ in the Word. All of us have the same equal opportunity to know and receive Him through Scripture. We receive revelations just as those in the first days received it.

The Benefits Of Seeing Jesus In The Word:

Seeing Jesus in the Word multiplies Grace and Peace – Bringing good success, well-being and wholeness.

2 Peter 1:2-3 AMPC

May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).

Seeing Jesus in the Word causes us to be unshakeable in trying times.

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”Matthew 16:15-19

Continuous revelation from the Word keeps us standing firm on the Rock. More than being unshakeable, we also have authority. (Punches comes from the ground)

Seeing Jesus in the Word reveals what He has already given.

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.1 Timothy 6:17-19

1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.John 17:1-3

By seeing Jesus in the Word power comes.

1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Hebrews 12:1-2

22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.1 Corinthians 1:22-24

By seeing Jesus in the Word blessings come effortlessly.

11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.Hebrews 11:11

20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.Romans 4:20-21

WWJD < WDJD (What did Jesus do?)

Let’s BEHOLD Jesus as He is, not just to meet our needs. He responds according to His eternal wisdom beyond our expectations.

2 Corinthians 3:18 AMPC

18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

We all have the same opportunity to see Him and celebrate Him!

Seeing Jesus in the Word shapes our everyday life.

20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.

21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;

22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.

Proverbs 4:20-22

4 I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.

Psalms 34:4-5

Discussion

For ate Faye:

20 Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.Ephesians 3:20 (TPT)

For me:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.John 1:1

1 I will praise You with my whole heart; Before the gods I will sing praises to You.

2 I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.Psalms 138:1-2

Inigo:

20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”Romans 4:20-22

Abraham was fully convinced because He beheld God.

5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.Romans 5:5

8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him (not what He did, but HIM)!

Psalms 34:8

Christ is the benefit we behold.

Praise God!
