Psalm 13 – January 14, 2026 (13/365)

I keep telling folks – rather, I’ve been telling folks lately that it would be well for us, and we would do ourselves a good favor if we meditated on the Word.

To meditate on the Word is an opportunity, and it is a privilege for us in the body of Christ, for apparently from it we are given help in this reality.

To quote Psalm 1, our meditation on the Word causes us to be fruitful – that is, we’re refreshed, planted by our Creator by the streams of living water, that we are able to bear fruit applicable in every season.

Meditation on the Word causes us to bear the fruits of the Spirit in all our circumstances.

According to the analysis of Joseph Prince, we as men are able to meditate on the Word, and soon after camels with our betrothed would arrive.

Meditation on the Word causes us to attract the right people into our lives, and I believe it also further ministers to who is already in our lives.

I’ve been telling folks that, and in my current state, I’m reminded – hey, I should probably do this for myself as well. I do need His Word at this time, and I am thankful that even now, I am being ministered to by the Most High. Thank You, Lord.

So with all that being said, I suppose I could go on and hop into Psalms I missed out on from the previous days.

Psalm 13

How Long, O LORD?

TO THE CHOIRMASTER. A PSALM OF DAVID.

1 How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

2 How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and answer me, O LORD my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,

4 lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.

5 But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.

6 I will sing to the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me.

Here I am reminded that we are able to cry out to the Lord, even in our waiting and our yearning.

We’re able to cry out to our Father, especially here and now, when the world is relentless in torment, if only to prod an illicit action or reaction from us.

We are taunted all day long, and we are afflicted from the thoughts and mindsets of old, which we have yet to truly realize we have died to.

Indeed, it is in these times of turmoil, these times of trouble and uncertainty that we ought to be crying out to the Lord even more – there’s no such thing as a bad time for us to call out to our Father for help.

For, yes, He IS our very present Help in time of need. Even here and now I have reason to believe that as we continue to go through His word, Life is happening within us, around us, and in all that concerns us. Life is also being imparted upon all we are concerned about.

Yes, He IS our very present Help, and He is always thinking about us. My God, indeed, who are we that You are so mindful of us?

Who are we, that You thought it good to save us, to take us back into our loving presence and to deal bountifully with us?

It is in these times of uncertainty and trouble that we are led by the Holy Spirit to remember our salvation… and as we remember, truly, we rejoice.

All hail the power of Jesus’ name! Let angels prostrate, fall!

Bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all!

Bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all!

Thank You, Father, for these times. For even in darkness You shine brighter. Even in affliction You show Yourself as peace and comfort. Even in pain and rejection, Your presence is known all the more.

Your presence is known in rejection and in all the world does against us, but You continue to remind us to forgive – it is inhuman, and we only ARE able to completely forgive because You forgave us completely.

You set us free, fully, and completely – so we are able to release anyone who call themselves our enemies, that they would behold Your goodness and be brought to repentance.

Oh, praise Your wonderful and beautiful name, Father! For we run to Your name – it is a Strong Tower in whom we find complete and full safety and deliverance.

You help us, You minister to us; You heal us, You deliver us, You provide for us. You are our Wisdom, much as we draw power from Your might.

Thank You, Father, for these times! Thank You for all You are, and all You have done!

Thank You for all that remains, and thank You for all who have stayed – Lord, bless them.

Thank You for all that’s been gone, and all who have gone away; You have shown Yourself as truly Faithful and True because of all of these happenings – And, yes, Lord, bless them.

Thank You, Father. Thank You for everything. I don’t know what else to exhort, what else to say at this moment; I know I shall not be shaken forever, nor shall my enemy constantly say they have prevailed over me.

I thank You, Lord, because You are indeed the Light in my eyes, and I only sleep out of rest and not the sleep of death.

I thank You, Lord, yes, thank You! Because You never leave me, You never forsake me; You shine Your face towards me, and I am favored by the Most High.

Yes, even now, in all that’s been brought before me, I AM favored, I AM loved by no less than our Creator, whom I call my Father.

I will give thanks to Thee,

O Lord, among the peoples.

I will sing praises to Thee among the nations.

For Thy steadfast love is great, Is great to the heavens;

And Thy faithfulness, Thy faithfulness to the clouds.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;

Let Thy glory be over all the earth.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;

Let Thy glory be over all the earth.

O, in my state, magnify the Lord with me!

Let us exalt His name together!

Amen, amen!
