Meditation And Rest – January 10, 2026 (8/365)

All powerful, all glorious, there’s nothing like the name of Jesus,

All powerful, all glorious, there’s nothing like Your name.

Your grace abounds in me, Your grace abounds in me,

Jesus, in You I have all that I need.

In the presence of temptation and with lingering painful memories, God is as He is in all other detrimental circumstances. In these times, as in all times of darkness, He is here. He is faithful.

I remain planted by the rivers of living water, drawing in the life-giving benefits of the Word. His Word is a lamp upon my feet (?) and a light unto my path.

In this time, I would be doing myself a great favor by meditating on the Word. I would do well to do both: That is, (1) to submit to God, resist the devil, and he shall flee from me, and (2) to flee from temptation, as we ought to flee from calamities of fire.

This Word is Spirit and Life, and it comes alive in me, as in all true revelations from the Lord; Indeed, bless the Lord, o my Soul, and forget NOT all His benefits.

From the top of my head, I go ahead and give God all the glory – Yes, even in the presence of said temptation and lingering painful memories, I sing of God’s praises and proclaim, even now, that He is deserving of all glory and honor – because I have been forgiven of all of my sins.

Indeed, this is what I choose to receive and proclaim upon myself, before anything else – in the presence of pain, anxiety, frustration, and dread, I am proclaiming that I am fully cleansed of all my sin – past, present, and future.

I proclaim upon myself, and upon all that concerns me, that through Christ’s finished work – His birth, death, resurrection and ascension, that I have been set free from the power of sin, death, and the grave. Through Christ’s finished work I am no longer separated but fully reconciled to the one true God, so reconciled, in fact, that I am able to call Him as Jesus Christ did – I’ve been so reconciled to Him that He is my Father.

I give thanks and praise to my Father, for, indeed, one of many of His benefits that I am enjoying, here and now, is that I have been cleansed. I have been forgiven. Christ became sin – He became my sin – in order for me to become His righteousness. Christ drained the cup of sin, death and the grave, that my own cup would run over with righteousness and life everlasting.

Thank You, Lord! Thank You, Jesus! It is from this stance of forgiveness, right-standing, and everlasting life that I am able to continue proclaiming His benefits; Including that I have been fully healed of all disease – and I proclaim the same, not by who I am or what I have done, but by Christ’s finished work and the power of the Holy Spirit: Healing and restoration happen in all aspects and perspectives, not only to me, but to my family, and to all I am concerned about.

Oh, bless the Lord, o my soul! For I AM forgiven, and I AM healed and restored!

Father, thank You for the promises of Your Word, which minister to me now. Indeed, I sing as Don Moen led congregations decades ago, and I dare say up until today: ‘This world has nothing for me

But oh, Father, surround me with your love and grace, and do not allow me to fall into callousness. As You overflow me with Your love, minister to me with compassion, so I am able to genuinely love those who would call themselves my enemies.

Thank You, Father, for it is not by my power nor is it by my might, but it is by Your Spirit that I am able to truly and genuinely love others. And, indeed, I have nothing but overflowing love, forgiveness and compassion for anyone and everyone in my past and present, even in the future, who hurt me, reject me, block me, leave me without a trace and without a word.

By no means is any of this possible with my own mind and body – I give thanks, Lord, for I am able to love as You love us. I am able to move and speak with true compassion, just as You have compassion – genuine, powerful compassion for me.

Shine Your glorious light upon me, Father; and, at the same time, I trust You to go into the deeper portions and sections of my mind, that You would just leave no corner of my being saturated with Your Word – Your power, and Your wisdom. Bless and comfort everyone that comes to mind, right now. Be exalted as You minister to us, and upon our whole being, upon all that concerns us.

You make all things new. You have made us new creations. The old has passed away, and behold – WE behold, that is – that all things have become new. You have given us a new heart. We now have the mind of Christ. We have been made new wineskins, filled with new Wine – filled with the Holy Spirit, that is.

You cause all things to work for the good of those who love You, and are called according to Your purpose. Yes, even the blocks, even the rejection – even in all the frustration, the unanswered questions, the yearnings left unsatisfied, the pain and the loneliness – Oh, Father, I thank You and I praise You, for You are for me, and not against me – Surely You look at all this that has happened, and You cause it all to work for the good – That is, for Your greater glory, and for the peace and goodwill upon Your people.

Thank You, indeed, Father, for even in times when I have no satisfaction, contentment, ease of mind, and/or vindication – You remain, faithful, overflowing me with peace that goes beyond all human understanding, supernatural peace from the Prince of Peace which saturates all aspects of my being.

Be glorified, my Lord. Thank You for these times, and these opportunities to just allow the Word planted in my heart to come alive, and to render everlasting life and light upon me and all that concerns me. Thank You – You are truly Faithful, You are faithfully True; Thank You, Jesus, that even in these times You are Faithful and True!

I come to my Faithful and True Savior, casting all my cares upon Him, knowing that He always thinks of me. I run to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, to His throne of grace, especially during these times of need and/or neediness, knowing that He who was willing and able to help the leper (after the Sermon of the Mount) is willing and able to take all my filth and sin, that we would become His righteousness and cleanliness, for all to behold and believe.

Father, be exalted! I believe You are at work, here and now, within and beyond all my limited senses – You are working in circumstances, You work in the hearts of men and women, friend and foe; Thank You, Lord! Thank You for this time.

Cause me, Father, to continue to be within the peace that only You can provide; Not ignorance, not idleness, but rest, and peace. Thank You so much for Your Word. Thank You so much for this moment; In this, my existence, may I find more and more time to truly integrate into Your Word and Your Life.

The stakes have never been higher, Lord, but You are always King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. You are always our faithful and our good Father. Work in my heart and mind, Lord. Let me know that everything is being handled, and everything will be okay.

Thank You, Lord.

12 Arise, O LORD! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble.

13 Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, “You will not require an account.”

14 But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.

15 Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; Seek out his wickedness until You find none.

16 The LORD is King forever and ever; The nations have perished out of His land.

17 LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear,

18 To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more.
