Back to mental and physical reprogramming. Not waiting until January to get my mind and body right for what is to come…
Simply because, my God, there is SO much that is coming.
Thankful to the Lord for His goodness to us throughout all this madness. Through all the craziness of this year, through all the ups and downs, the left and rights, the Bs and As, and the Selects, and Starts.
No, we may not have 30 lives, or if we did, we may very well have lost them all through this year…
We’re thankful, because by God’s goodness, we don’t have 30 respawns, we have eternal life. Everlasting life.
And all of it began to be proven, demonstrated by the God-made-man, the incarnate Deity sleeping in a makeshift crib out of a manger.
It is right to say Merry Christmas… For, indeed, only by Christ are we merry.
Thank You, Father. Thank You, Holy Spirit. Thank You, Jesus. Continue to work in and around our lives, reprogramming our heads, refining our bodies, moving us spiritually from glory to glory.
And speaking of glory, may our God be glorified to the maximum in all things. Halleluyah and Hosanna.
Psalm 146
Put Not Your Trust in Princes
1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!
2 I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.
4 When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish.
I have, here, reason to believe that as we continue to praise and glorify our God, and as we continue to intentionally proclaim the greatness and goodness of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we are naturally being redirected to whom we ought to place our trust in, and consequently, to whom we should avoid placing reliance on. In this case, we’re praising the Lord, and then suddenly in the third verse it’s as if the Psalmist pivots – not sure what’s going on in his own mind, but he deems it important to follow up immediately by telling us, and singing to himself, that our trust should not be, technically, on anyone else.
All praise and trust ought to be directed to the Lord out God, from our souls, our lives, and our beings – and, while this seems like effort on our end, we ought to know that it was the Lord Jesus Christ, whose birth we celebrate in this season, who loved us first by pouring out His soul, His life, and His being, that all who believe in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life.
I couldn’t help but mention how I’ve been seeing a lot of clips from a certain debate, recently, between Bible scholars and apologists and – oh, I didn’t know they existed until they were mentioned – black Hebrew Israelites, who just went on and on, talking over the reasonable arguments of the other side with accusations of racism and conspiracy; And, really, their confrontational attitude shouldn’t be ignored, because they really are into whatever they’ve claimed as their identity, which obviously has no trace of Christ.
It’s as if their full and complete praise and trust is in themselves, the way they do the opposite of praising, but verbally attacking and denigrating those who they perceive do not agree with them. No fruits, and only works can be seen – or, rather, heard – from their mouths.
And I suppose it works the other way around, as well, huh? Your words of praise, or, well, your words in general are birthed out of who you place your trust in.
Trust in the Lord, and praise Him all the more.
Trust in yourself or anyone else for your salvation, and reject Him, and ridicule those who DO trust in Him.
It’s a saddening state of affairs, as we turn another year. But we stay vigilant, drawing our strength from our Father, trusting in Him all the more, because:
5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,
6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever;
7 who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry.
For all the wonderful things mentioned here, did you catch where the Psalmist wrote that our God, who made all things, ‘keeps faith forever‘?
Two things: (1) In spite of all that is said against our Father, and against our Savior and our Spirit, let us not forget that the Author and Finisher of our Faith keeps US faithful, because (2) He Himself is Faithful and True.
Friends, do not allow your minds and hearts to be drowned out by all the noise of the world. Let us put our trust and take refuge, now and always – in fact, MORE now, than ever – in our God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) that we would see His goodness and faithfulness here in the land of the living.
Give glory to His name, especially in the worst of circumstances, knowing that He is faithful and He is true, through it all.
He rescues us, He delivers us… He loves us.
He loves us, and He loves us forever.
Glory to His name!
The LORD sets the prisoners free; 8 the LORD opens the eyes of the blind.
The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous.
9 The LORD watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
10 The LORD will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD!
May the Lord continue to bless and keep us through this season.
May He continue to demonstrate His faithfulness – His grace, and His glory – as we transition from this colorful 2025, to 2026.
Indeed, may His goodness and greatness be seen all the more, and may He be glorified in all things.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Halleluyah, Amen.
