Psalm 130
Waiting for the Redemption of the LORD
A Song of Ascents.
1 Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD;
2 Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.
3 If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.
5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.
6 My soul waits for the Lord More than those who watch for the morning— Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.
7 O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption.
8 And He shall redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
Based on verse 4, and considering Romans 2:4, can we also say that the forgiveness of God leads to the fear of the LORD… and saying that the forgiveness of God is the beginning of wisdom; Rather, believing in said forgiveness leads to repentance, the beginning of wisdom?
It all ties in with the importance that we have been cleansed, as emphasized by Peter in his epistle.
And it gives further impact to when Christ told the lowered paralytic, before anything else:
‘Your sins are forgiven‘.
In the decisions I have to make; In all the anxiety related to work, and also outside of work…
I say as Christ told me, and all of us at the cross – My sins are forgiven. I have been cleansed, washed clean.
My response, my first course of action: I am cleansed. I am clean. I am forgiven. My sins are forgiven, my sins have been washed away.
From forgiveness I flow, trust God, and thank God. Christ is my Righteousness, Christ is my Foundation, and Christ is my Forgiveness. Christ is my Cleansing and my Cleanliness.
Through Him I am washed clean, but also because of Him, out of my belly flows rivers of living water. For all this, He deserves all glory, He deserves all thanks and praise!
Glory and honor to Christ my King and Savior, through whom I have been forgiven, through whom I have been cleansed! He is victorious, and therefore we are victorious! Halleluyah!
As the rest of the Psalm goes, we would draw near to the LORD as Israel, ‘for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption‘.
And there it is: Not only does forgiveness entail our being washed of our sins, but also, again as Israel, our being redeemed from all our iniquities.
So we praise and thank God because we are forgiven, in and through Christ. This means that we have been washed of our sins, and this also means that we have been redeemed from our iniquities.
Washed, and redeemed. Saved. Forgiven. From a new heart, washed, redeemed, and forgiven, we give our Father thanks and praise. Our hearts are full of joy, having been set free of sin and redeemed from its wages. Thank You, Father! Thank You, so much!
Psalm 131
Simple Trust in the LORD
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
1 LORD, my heart is not haughty, Nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters, Nor with things too profound for me.
2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3 O Israel, hope in the LORD From this time forth and forever.
I think, in the calm and in the quiet, fully embraced by our Father, safe in His arms. Indeed, we are so forgiven, so washed, so redeemed, so reconciled, made so righteous that this is how intimate we are with our Father – and much so, that all is calm, and all is quiet and well.
Calm and quiet, yet at the same time overflowing with praise and thanksgiving.
Cool and calculating.
Cool, knowing that we are always with the Father, and that He is always with us.
Calculating, from knowing we are saved and forgiven, cleansed and washed, unto praise and thanksgiving.
Psalm 1
The Way of the Righteous and the End of the Ungodly
1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Meditation. Delighting in the law of the LORD. Delighting in the LORD.
Aware of His awesome presence, in peace beyond understanding. In constant communication beyond words, enjoying the Creator of the universe present in me, as we are in Him. Enjoying the Holy Spirit, here and now.
Praying, even when not praying.
Praying without words. Every heartbeat, every breath – worship to the King of Kings, to the Lord of Lords.

It’s the next day, and frankly I’m not up to standards.
But I will say this in writing – the LORD is good. He has done great things, and from this do I draw gladness.
This is more than mental conditioning.
This is more than positive thinking.
This is believing – laboring to enter His rest.
Intentionally, choosing if necessary – to rejoice, pray, and give thanks.

Per Andrew Farley, salvation is like an alloy of two metals, a new metal born out of two.
Are you overwhelmed with the facts?
Flow with the Truth. He is with you.
Christ is the Truth alive in and with you. Live Christ.
We are alive in Christ, and we live Christ; Seeing Him in all our circumstances, bearing His fruit being our natural state, now that we are new creations.
Yes, what a complete and absolute salvation we have, all because of Christ and His finished work!
