Tragedy may come in the night. Stumbling may or most likely will come in the darkness.
As we are in this world, we will make our mistakes. We will fall.
But again, we continue to give praise. Not only because (as I wrote just recently) praising and thanking our Father is now our default through Christ and His finished work – but also because of the obvious: Without any effort on our part, God already is eternally glorious, infinitely gracious, wonderful and magnificent.
If Moses was rendered speechless by the mention of His glory, well, how much more when we behold Him with unveiled faces. All praise for anything else is silenced. All awe of ALL creation, shall eventually behold His glory and be in sheer awe.
And all the more do we give thanks to the LORD! Why? Well, in beholding His glory we are also led to think and realize, by the power of the Holy Spirit – who ARE we, that this everlasting, eternal, infinite and endless Creator is SO mindful of us?
Who ARE we, in our filth, in our darkness and in our shame, that this God of gods, this Great I Am, would not only give us attention, but RUN to us as an extravagant and loving Father!?
My God, indeed, thank You for these times! Thank You for these realizations!
Thank You, Holy Spirit, for these reminders! And all glory to our Savior, Jesus Christ, that we see this Truth, and that this faith has been so authored in us.
As we continue through this day, I believe our Father continues to minister to us, His children, the body of Christ – moving in and through us, in all we are aware of and in all beyond our senses, focus and attention – that He would be glorified, His goodness projected to this failing, dying world, that more and more people would come to the knowledge of His saving grace, and that His will would be done.
Indeed, Father, shine Your glory and let all see Your goodness, in and through us, through our perceived victories and certain failures – that none would perish, and that all would come to repentance.
Thank You, Father! Thank You, Lord!
Playing a little bit of catch-up here… also just running the course of exhausting my body and mind and letting the Spirit just continue to overflow as necessary, as we continue this day.
Only by grace can we enter, Only by grace can we stand
Not by our human endeavor, But by the blood of the Lamb
Into Your presence, You call us, You call us to come
Into Your presence, You draw us
And now, by Your grace, we come
Now, by Your grace, we come
Lord, if You mark our transgressions, who would stand?
Thanks to Your grace, we are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb
Thank You, Father, for not counting our sins against us. Thank You, Father, because Christ became sin that we would become His righteousness.
Truly and indeed, my Father, it is only by grace that we enter, only by grace that we remain, only by grace that we are united, only by grace that You are so close to us.
And yes, even right now, You are close to me. In all that’s going on, I am, as much as I could be, and as usual – embraced, secure in the arms of my everlasting Father.
Thank You, Father, for safety and security – not only in Your presence, but also in Your Truth.
Thank You, Father, for Your Truth – that sin no longer has any dominion over us; that all which is in this finite creation eventually fades into nothingness and insignificance, before the everlasting love, light and light of Christ.
Thank You, Father, for Your Truth which endures. Thank You, for Your Truth that establishes my Way, unto eternal Life.
Thank You, Father.
Psalm 133
When Brothers Dwell in Unity
A SONG OF ASCENTS. OF DAVID.
1 Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes!
3 It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the LORD has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.
Indeed, we give You praise and thanks, Father, for it is already awesome for us to behold His goodness on our own… But when we come together in unity, recognizing both (1) the futility of our existence on our own, and (2) the absolutely complete and eternal salvation we have in Christ, we could not but praise You, and give glory to Your name!
And as we praise You as brothers and sisters, together in the body, oh, may we be ministered to, may we all behold Your glory, and may the Spirit continue to move in our midst and minister to us;
Anoint us, overflow us with Your Spirit, who is the Guarantee of our salvation. May we continue to take heart and find encouragement, knowing that Your Spirit is faithful to us, even when we are faithless.
Refresh us, Father, with the same Spirit – remind us of the Truth that stands, and open our eyes to revelations that take us deeper into the knowledge of Your saving grace, and revelations that would have us TRULY live in this wretched world, shining the goodness and glory of our Father in even the most random of situations, in the middle of the chaos.
It is already so great to realize the Life we have in You, Jesus, on our own – How much more when we come together and enjoy Your being in our midst?
Oh, Father, cause us to take stock in the bonds You establish among us, in the body of Christ…
And as Your mercies are new every morning, steamrolling over all our blunders and the consequences of our wrong decisions, oh, let harmony and grace prevail over all powers and principalities that glorify themselves over You.
May we never forget the natural unity we have in You, Lord; May we always come together, praising and glorifying Your Name, Jesus! Halleluyah!
Psalm 134
Come, Bless the LORD
A SONG OF ASCENTS.
1 Come, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who stand by night in the house of the LORD!
2 Lift up your hands to the holy place and bless the LORD!
3 May the LORD bless you from Zion, he who made heaven and earth!
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty,
who was, and is, and is to come!
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty,
who reigns forevermore!
Amen.
