Taking A Stand (Psalm 5) – October 05, 2025 (317/365)

…mind flush.

Psalm 5

Lead Me in Your Righteousness

TO THE CHOIRMASTER: FOR THE FLUTES. A PSALM OF DAVID.

1 Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my groaning.

2 Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray.

3 O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch.

I continue to give thanks to our God. I give thanks to Him for Jesus Christ, who stepped away from eternal glory to be born as one of us. What humility and what intention!

I give thanks to God, for Jesus Christ, who, not content with being with us, and blessing us, lay down His whole life for us. His body and blood served as sacrifice and propitiation for our reconciliation.

I give thanks to God, for Jesus Christ, who demonstrated absolute glory and grace through His obedience at the cross, and was deserving of the name above all names; Death could not hold Him down, and He walked out of the open tomb – righteous, and in newness of Life.

I give thanks to God, for Jesus Christ – who, after finishing all that needed to be done, ascended to heaven, that we would all receive His manifest presence; Through Christ we received the Holy Spirit, the proof and receipt of our salvation, reconciliation, righteousness and eternal life.

It is by Christ and His finished work that I express thanks to our God, for now, as He is our Father, He certainly gives ear to our words; He knows all there is to know behind all the groaning we give to the world, and all the pain we suffer on our own.

Through Christ we know that our Father hears our cries, and listens with intent to our voice, our prayers.

For this, and so much more, we give glory to the Lord in the morning, giving sacrifices of praise and worship to Him, founded by His everlasting love, His glory and His grace.

4 For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you.

5 The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers.

6 You destroy those who speak lies; the LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

7 But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. I will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you.

8 Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me.

9 For there is no truth in their mouth; their inmost self is destruction; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.

10 Make them bear their guilt, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; because of the abundance of their transgressions cast them out, for they have rebelled against you.

11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you.

12 For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield.

We give God the glory, for not only does He hear us, but He sees us – and He sees all there is around us.

He sees all that concerns us. He sees those who plot against us, He sees all that creeps about, in the seen and unseen, looking to steal from us, to kill and destroy us…

He sees all this, and with righteous anger He foils the plans of the enemy, He causes all the weapons of the enemy to fail.

The enemy could only go as far as to see us and roar in anger and frustration.

The evil will not touch us, nor shall the disease come near our tents. Yes, instead the enemy will be forced to look upon us, unable to do anything else as He prepares a table before us in their presence, and as He anoints our heads with oil.

Through Christ, we are favored and fed, while our enemies are frustrated, their plans completely foiled!

Thank You, Father!

Thank You, Father, for You are a Shield about us. Your name is a strong Tower.

By Christ, who has made us righteous, we run to You and we are safe.

Yes, even during these times where danger is as close to us as can ever be, we give glory to You, and we rejoice – for in You we are safe.

We are safe, and we are secure, knowing that nothing can ever separate us from You.

We are confident, knowing that You are our Father who is for us, and not against us.

We are at peace, knowing that by Christ, we have been set free from this body of sin; by Christ, we no longer suffer from condemnation.

We have the peace that goes beyond all understanding, that causes us to rejoice at all times, and to give thanks in all circumstances – naturally, and powerfully.

We take heart, knowing that Your mercies are new and fresh every morning – The Holy Spirit ensures that we are in constant and consistent communication with You, that You are fully aware of all that transpires in and around us.

We give thanks – Oh, we DO give thanks! For, Lord Jesus, You are willing AND able to deliver us from all that afflicts us, that the world would see Your goodness and grace, and that more and more people would come to repentance.

Father, indeed, let Your will be done. Through us, may more and more be led further away from death – that more and more may see Your goodness through Jesus (the Way, the Truth, and the Life), and that they may be saved.

Move in our midst in a mighty way, and be glorified to the maximum through it all.

Thank You, Father, for healing, protection, and provision upon ourselves and our families.

Thank You, Father, for as Your lovingkindness endures, we endure – through clear and present danger, through the uncertainty of the future, and through the complexities of the past.

Lord of the Heavens and the Earth, Maker of Time and Space, Creator of all things seen and unseen – Our Father in heaven, Your name is holy, holy, holy.

Eternity and this existence is full of Your glory. Hosanna, hosanna in the highest.

Thank You, Father. Even in these times… Thank You, so much.
