Lesson 16

Recap: Jesus Paid It All. Jesus paid for our healing. As Jesus saved us, so He has healed us.
The Transforming Power of the Gospel
It is our duty to read the Gospel for ourselves, and for us to take in the transformation and to partake of the blessings we have in Christ. We continue to return to the foundational Truth. The Word of God MUST be an essential part of our daily lives, like Manna given daily to the Israelites.
What the Gospel is really about
Romans 5:19 NKJV
19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
Romans 1:16-17 NKJV
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Righteousness is given by the grace of God. You either work for it, or recognize Christ’s finished work and take it in as a gift. By grace we have been saved, by grace we have been made righteous.
This good news is not just for the world, but it is certainly for us in the body of Christ as well.
THE GOSPEL HAS ANSWERS FOR OUR ENTIRE LIVES:
Health
Marriage
Parenting
Careers
Some might argue that the Gospel is about repentance, and that we need to drill down on holy living… but we ought to always remember that these are fruits that we bear.
We remind ourselves that through Christ we are:
Planted in the soil of God’s grace.
Rooted in the Gospel Truth.
Romans 1:17 NKJV
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Until you know you are righteous in Christ, you cannot live by faith.
The revelation of knowing your righteousness in Christ, things change. Peace settles in your heart. Fear flees. Joy springs up. Hope rises.. and most importantly, faith flows effortlessly.
Righteousness is not something that we achieve, but something we receive.
A Life Founded on Faith is Unshakeable.
Isaiah 54:17 NKJV
No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the LORD.
No weapon formed against us shall prosper, no poverty can tear us down, no accusations can take root because… we are righteous, and this righteousness is from the Lord.
As Christ is the Author and Finisher of our Faith, so God is the Provider and Source of our Righteousness. He IS our Righteousness.
Proverbs 18:10 NKJV
10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you – Ephesians 3:20, TPT
We need to keep hearing the Gospel. The more we hear it, the more we’re grounded in righteousness. The more rooted you are the more unshakeable you get.
DECLARATION:
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
Every tongue that rises against me, I condemn.
My righteousness is from the Lord Jesus.
He holds my life together,
and I will not be shaken!
Keep hearing the Gospel.
Romans 10:17 NKJV
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Listen to sermons, read grace-centered devotionals, and surround yourself with grace-believers.
Keep resting in your righteousness. When guilt or fear hits, proclaim your righteousness in Christ.
Isaiah 54:17 NKJV
17 “..their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord”
Romans 1:17 NKJV
17 “..The just shall live by faith.
Keep guarding your heart against condemnation
Romans 8:1 NKJV
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Reject self-condemnation immediately. Replace it with God’s Word:
“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Keep beholding Jesus, not ourselves.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Read the Gospels and ask, “What does this show me about Jesus?” instead of, “What must I do?”
Keep speaking the Gospel over our lives.
The Gospel is automatically spoken, when believed.
Proverbs 18:21 NKJV
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Make declarations daily:
“No weapon formed against me shall prosper.”
“God is for me, not against me.”
CONCLUSION:
Hear the gospel until it becomes louder than the lies of the enemy.
Rest in Christ’s righteousness, not your own.
Behold Jesus, not your failures.
Speak and live from the victory He has already secured.
Matthew 7:24-25 NKJV
24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
I have thoughts to share about this but I’ll keep it as it is for now.
Let’s just say that the Lord is helping my faith. As He helped Jairus’ unbelief, so He is helping me.
He truly is the Author and Finisher of our faith.
He is our righteousness, indeed.
May the Lord continue to bless and keep us, throughout all these things happening all at once.
