4 The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD’s throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man.
5 The LORD tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.
6 Let him rain coals on the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7 For the LORD is righteous; he loves righteous deeds;
the upright shall behold his face.Psalms 11:4-7
We praise the God of the heavens and the earth, the one true God.
We praise the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Creator of all things seen and unseen.
He is our God, who is who He says He is, and who does what He says He does.
He sees us through to the depths of our souls and to the core of our being.
He sees more than we see. He sees wickedness and violence as we see it with our own eyes,
however, He also sees all our thoughts and our intentions.
He sees ahead – the consequences and impact of all our decisions and our actions.
He sees all, from His infinite and eternal, righteous perspective.
…and that last line got me thinking, I have reason to believe that He can see all things through all perspectives, but His character is righteous, and He sees through a righteous perspective.
Just as He sees all deeds, but, as the Word just mentions, it’s the righteous deeds that He loves..
And as a result, the upright shall be declared righteous, for the upright shall behold His face.
We have a righteous God. We have a righteous Father.
And we have even more reason to rejoice, for He demonstrated His righteousness along with His compassion, by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to reconcile us to Him..
..and this was done through Jesus becoming our sin and taking our death, that we would be made righteous – and therefore in right-standing with a righteous God – unto everlasting, eternal Life; Life, abundant.
I have more reason to believe, now, that His righteousness is not without His grace, and it is not without His glory.
In other words, when we say that God is good (all the time) we are also saying that He is gracious, glorious, and, now, righteous.
Through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Adoption, we who were once led astray now are able to behold the face of God – and not only are we able to see His face in its full, holy glory, but we are able to run to His throne of grace at our time of need..
..and we cry out to our good God, who is our Father.
He is our Father, who is gracious all the time.
He is our Father, who is glorious all the time.
He is our Father, who is righteous all the time.
Worthy of all praise, worthy of all worship, honor and adoration.
We praise and thank Him, for the total salvation, complete reconciliation and endless Life we have – all accomplished and guaranteed by Jesus Christ and His finished work.
Starting another week of work in a little more than an hour from now, and I’m just… well, I don’t know if you can call this feeling flat out numb, but I’ll just say that I have an idea of what to expect, and what to prepare for.
As always, I’m praying for a good and smooth set of shifts, to help out – but I suppose, more than good and smooth shifts, I pray for fortitude, focus, and just the will and resolve to see complicated situations through.
I am thankful, because it’s during these times that I am duly reminded by the Holy Spirit of the proper mindset to have and to bring, for work and, really, for anything else:
A mindset as He convicts us – a mindset which is constantly reminded of the sin of the world, our righteousness and right-standing with God (now and always), and the judgment of the enemy of our souls. Past, present, and future.
We operate off of a mindset – well, we operate out of the mind of Christ, which we have, again, by His finished work and by the power of the Holy Spirit. And with this in mind, we go through our shifts, and we go through all the complicated situations with Christ in mind. He thinks with us as we think with Him, our thoughts mingled and saturated with His glory and grace, just as His thoughts are integrated – deeper than into our minds, but ingrained into our hearts. After all, are ARE new creations, fully new, meaning not only our minds but our hearts (and our emotions) have been made new.
Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Father, Thank You, Holy Spirit. I am thankful for these moments.
I am thankful for the realization and reminder that You are with us, fully present, before, during, and after all things that happen.
I am so thankful, for Your eternal grace is with us at all times, just as Your infinite glory is with us wherever we are.
Thank You, Lord, for Life. For Love, and for Light. For comfort for our past, peace in the present, and confidence for the future.
You have raised us from the depths, and set our feet on a solid rock. Indeed, Lord, You are our firm Foundation, the solid Rock on whom we stand. Upon You we are on a higher place, and our perspectives are changed.
Thank You, Lord, for as our perspectives have been made new, so our minds are renewed, and we are transformed by the renewing of our minds.
Thank You, Lord, for we are being moved from grace to grace, and from glory to glory. Every day brighter than the day before.
Thank You so much – Father, Son, and Spirit – for every day is sweeter than the day before. Amen.
Thank You, Father, for opportunities, and for breakthroughs.
Thank You, Jesus, for your presence and for Your glory seen and known as we encounter difficulty.
Thank You, Holy Spirit, for the constant reminders, and for the consistent convictions.
Thank You, God, for sustenance, in all forms, and for all aspects of our Being. Jesus, You are indeed the Bread of Life; We believe in You, partaking in You, fully trusting in You, knowing that we will never grow hungry.
Thank You, Jesus, for You are also our Water of Life – and as we continue to integrate more and more of our finite beings into the infinite Truth of Your finished work, I am thankful, because out of our bellies shall burst forth rivers of that living Water.
Thank You, Holy Spirit… Well, just, thank You. You have always been with us through it all, faithfully projecting the goodness of God and the glory of God unto all Creation, that the will of the Father would be done: For none to perish, but for all to come to repentance, and consequent salvation.
In these times of confusion and conspiracy, and in these times when the darkness and the lies seem to be overtaking more and more people, we give even more thanks to You, oh Lord – For it is in these times that we value and appreciate Your peace that goes beyond all understanding.
It is in these times that we thank You, for Your plans and thoughts are greater than our ideas ans senses.
It’s in these times that Your light shines brighter, and Your truth stands out even more.
Thank You, God. Thank You so much, for everything.
Be glorified and magnified in our lives, in our work, and in all that concerns us.
You are for us, You are not against us. You never leave us, You are always thinking about us.
Nothing can ever separate us from Your love.
Thank You, Lord. For everything.
May the Lord continue to bless us, as we go through this week.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
