Playing Catch-Up (again) – May 25 – June 22, 2025 (231/365)

…would this be counted as a weekly log?

They’re things I unearthed from the Notes app on the phone… Overdue for commentary.

May 25, 2025

Something that came up while I was walking:

Not only do you restore, you make all things new.

Not only do you deliver from darkness but you also deliver into light.

Not only negative to zero, but zero to positive. We’re not only thankful that all that has been taken away has been restored, but we’re also celebrating that much more has been added.

We’re not only thankful to have been healed from death, not only thankful to die to sin; We’re also celebrating how we’ve been made righteous and therefore alive, and alive unto righteousness.

And not only have we been re-made, not only have we been made new; We’ve also been brought from one location into another: From merely existing in the finite to being alive in eternity.

Release to receive.

Never really realized that up until now. I mean, I say I want my mind back, but I’m only realizing now that you gotta let stuff go.

It’s like the reason why I lost my mind and my rhythm in the first place is because other things were taking space.

Things, such as porn. Pain. Presumptions. Propensity towards alliteration?

It feels like the same thing with my body. Or, no, not ‘feels like’ – I know it.

I know I cut sugar, snacking (and some other ‘s’ to complete the intended alliteration) in order for me to lose weight and to ‘take my body back’.

(Hah. While we’re in the subject of alliteration, there’s also ‘Space’ – as in the space that excess fat was taking up)

The stakes are higher and the consideration to take body and mind back… has been upgraded from ‘consideration’ to a mandate of immediate urgency.

In the words of R Lee Ermey, ‘you had best unfuck yourself before I rip off your head and shit down your neck’.

So it comes full circle with what came into mind just a few days before. Sure, we can see it all as one huge celebration – That is, as mentioned in the Word: The old has passed away, and the new has come.

And not only has the old ‘passed away’, but it’s also been taken away as well: Sin unto death, passed away and taken away.

Porn, pain, prideful presumptions – passed away and taken away.

Sugar, snacking, space – slain and shipped out.

(apparently the alliteration remains)

It’s all a celebration, sure, but in the face of all things happening recently – in all levels, from personal struggles, victories and stumbling, up to the highest levels of geopolitical analysis (Iran and Israel, Russia and Ukraine, the infighting here in the Philippines, the strife in the USA and so on) – with all this in mind, I’m saying that there needs to be a shift in seeing all we have in and through Christ – from enjoyment to empowerment.

All I’m saying, I guess, and to myself, is that I gotta take this in, and I gotta take in all a whole lot more seriously than I already am. These are, indeed, exciting times.

God is with us, never leaving us.

God is for us, not against us.

God is always thinking of us, never forsaking us.

Nothing will ever separate us from Him.

Everything reminds us of Him.

We carry the Spirit. The Spirit carries us.

Flow. Trust God. Thank God.

This is what I sent in our church congregation group chat after we started talking about Pentecost and the Holy Spirit. We’re still going along those lines so far this month, and I think it’s just timely.

That last line about carrying the Spirit is choice – that came out while we were preaching.

June 20-21, 2025

Something disturbing me. The Jews want us to hate the Jewish people, so eventually they’ll have the world hate Jesus, and they’ll hate us.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but yeah, this is quite possibly how the godless in the higher echelons of society would deal with us, in their larger agenda of world domination.

Also, I worked right until the pandemic started… and now that the pandemic has ‘ended’, I’m working again. Only this time it’s part time, and I’m paid less of course. Let’s also remember I lost a lot of money, cleaned out savings/inheritance during the pandemic. Not blaming the pandemic, I’m the one to blame.

I just noticed this, and thought it had to be said. Self-condemnation aside, I suppose I am thankful that my Mom and I were well-sustained here in our corner of the world, while we weathered through this scam pandemic.

It’s just timely that I’m back to working and the workforce. Only this time, I’m smarter, and I’d like to think I’m wiser – all only by the grace of God, the finished work of Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 21

The King Rejoices in the LORD’s Strength

TO THE CHOIRMASTER. A PSALM OF DAVID.

O LORD, in your strength the king rejoices, and in your salvation how greatly he exults!

You have given him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah

For you meet him with rich blessings; you set a crown of fine gold upon his head.

He asked life of you; you gave it to him, length of days forever and ever.

His glory is great through your salvation; splendor and majesty you bestow on him.

For you make him most blessed forever; you make him glad with the joy of your presence.

For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the steadfast love of the Most High he shall not be moved.

Your hand will find out all your enemies; your right hand will find out those who hate you.

You will make them as a blazing oven when you appear.

The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath, and fire will consume them.

You will destroy their descendants from the earth, and their offspring from among the children of man.

Though they plan evil against you, though they devise mischief, they will not succeed.

For you will put them to flight; you will aim at their faces with your bows.

Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power.

Lest we forget, our strength is not only seen as strength coming from the Lord… but here, as early as the Psalms of David, we’re to join him in giving thanks to God – Because the Lord HIMSELF is our Strength. He IS our Power, just as He IS our Wisdom.

We not only have the mentality of Christ – we have the MIND of Christ.

We not only enjoy His presence, but we have the Holy Spirit, who IS the presence of the eternal and everlasting God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; The Holy Spirit IS the presence of our Father.

We rejoice in His presence, and we rejoice in His power.

A false witness will perish, but the word of a man who hears will endure.

A wicked man puts on a bold face, but the upright gives thought to his ways.

No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the LORD.

The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the LORD.

Proverbs 21:28-31

We rejoice in His presence, and we rejoice in His power – We trust in Him.

Yeah, in all this… Plain and simple, we trust in our Lord. We trust in our Father, in our Savior, and in His Spirit…

…and we claim the promise of His word – We trust in Him and we will NOT be put to shame.

All glory and honor to Him, now and forever… Amen.

Sunday Message Notes coming very soon.

Until then, may the Lord continue to be praised and glorified to the maximum, as we navigate through this existence with Christ as our Life, our Love, our Light.

Amen. Amen.
