Our Foundation, Our Dwelling (Psalm 15) – March 15, 2025 (136/365)

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow.

Praise our Father, all people here below!

Praise Him above, ye heavenly host…

Yes, praise our Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost!

We bless the name of the Lord, in praise and thanksgiving, for all that’s been done, for all that’s being done, and for all that is to come. We give glory and honor to the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have been reconciled to the Creator, who we now are able to call our Father.

Indeed, we thank the Father for another day, for allowing us to wake up this morning, for a good night’s sleep, and, here, for this opportunity to express our thanksgiving and gratitude to Him – for the freedom to let it all out, and for the assurance that He not only hears us as our God; He not only listens to us as a Councilor, but He cares for us as a Father.

We thank God – I thank God – for His knowing all that’s within me and all that’s about me, and still choosing to be faithful, to love me with His everlasting love! Indeed, I am thankful for having a Father who will always be here for me, never leaving nor forsaking me. I am thankful, I am grateful, for having a Father who is always for me and never against me, chasing me down with His amazing grace, always at the ready to restore me and to remind me of His infinite power and resources, His eternal wisdom and knowledge, and, most of all, His great and glorious love to all who believe!

Father, thank You! Thank You for everything, thank You so much for this moment.

You are glorified and honored, now and forever. Amen!

Psalm 15

Who Shall Dwell on Your Holy Hill?

A PSALM OF DAVID.

1 O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?

2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart;

3 who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend;

4 in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

5 who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

We give thanks to the Lord for our Savior, Jesus Christ; for through His obedience, indeed, He has proven Himself as our firm Foundation, and as the Rock on whom we can stand. True to His Word, He did as He said to the Pharisees – that is, that He would destroy (His) temple, and raise it up again in 3 days; thus ensuring our reconciliation, our dying to the flesh and sin, and our being created and made new. By His complete and finished work He has proven Himself to be a firm Foundation, and a trustworthy Foundation… and, because of Him, we shall never be moved, indeed.

We thank God for Jesus, who is our Provider, duly reminding us time and time again in His Word, for us to give to all as is according to them – taxes and revenue to whom taxes and revenue are due, but also honor and respect to whom honor and respect are due. And as He gave to us, so we are able to give – with a cheerful heart, with no malice or selfish intentions… We are also able to receive graciously, and for the best interests of all involved, with no greed involved.

We are thankful to God for Christ, for through Him we are able to discern between our fellow believers who fear the Lord, and vile, despised folks – however, we do not despise as quickly as the rest of the world, but by the compassion we have received through Christ, so we are able to be compassionate upon the rest of the world, to ourselves, and to our brethren.

Christ has spoken the truth to us. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth that guides us into all truth… and therefore, we also speak the truth, if not lead others to the truth as well. As Christ is faithful to us, so we are faithful to our friends and family, not willing to take a reproach against them so easily.

Christ is our integrity – only through Him, oh, thank God; Only through Jesus Christ are we confident that we walk blamelessly, doing right as Christ does right through us, allowing us to speak the truth as our hearts are overflowing with the Truth, by way of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. We shall never be moved, because on Christ we stand, and we dwell IN Him as He dwells in us. Through Christ, our God has made His dwelling in us.

Thank You, Lord!
