Salvation/Vindication – February 26, 2025 (86/365)

To God be the glory for the things He has done.

With His blood, He has saved me and with His power, He has raised me.

Because of all He has done for me, I declare and proclaim that God deserves all the glory and praise.

I am thankful to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, for His power is made perfect and known in my weakness. His lovingkindness is seen and beheld all the more when I fall into disgrace. We see how His mercies are new with every morning, following the uncertainty of the night.

I am thankful to God, our Father Almighty, for constantly reminding us, by the power of His Holy Spirit, of how He was the One who ran to us when we were far off, short sighted, in disarray, full of regret, remorse, and just focused on ourselves and our comfort. By the power of His Holy Spirit, we are constantly, consistently reminded of how He was the Father who abandoned the festivities, chasing us down in compassion and reminding our spiteful selves of how all that He has is ours, as well.

Oh, indeed, to Him be all the glory and praise and worship! For even in our loss He is faithfully present and ministering to us and our families. Even in our pain, He soothes us with His comfort, and in His presence we have peace that goes beyond all understanding, reasoning and observation. Even right now, with everything going on in me and around me and apart from me – oh, praise His name – His lovingkindness continues to endure, He surrounds us with songs of victory and deliverance, He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies, promoting us, anointing us with His divine favor before the entire world.

I am thankful to God – for in these moments I am brought back to my Foundation: My Rock and my Salvation, Jesus Christ.

In Him I live, move, and have my being. He is for me, never against me, and nothing can ever separate me from Him.

In Him I flow, and I continue to thank God and trust in Him.

To God be all the glory for the things He has done.

Psalm 26

I Will Bless the LORD

OF DAVID.

1 Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.

2 Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind.

Indeed, we continue to give God the glory. Because of who Christ is and because of all He has done, we can say that we are vindicated, and we are proven. Because of the power of the Holy Spirit, we have been and will continue to walk in integrity, and for all we’ve been led to be thankful for, we’re also given a measure of reason, to continue to trust in Him. The conviction of the Holy Spirit has us moving on, in confidence, boldness and fearlessness, secure of Christ in us as we are in Him even in times of testing, of our hearts and/or our minds.

Just as the Holy Spirit is the deposit, the seal, and the earnest of our salvation (2 Corinthians 1:22; 5:5; Ephesians 1:13-14; 4:30), here we realize and appreciate how the Holy Spirit is also proof of my vindication; and just as He constantly, faithfully convicts us of our righteousness, it just follows that He reminds us of our absolute salvation, bought with the blood of Jesus Christ; He also reminds us of our perfect vindication, guaranteed in His resurrection.

3 For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness.

4 I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites.

5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked.

We do not linger in the courts of falsehood, hypocrisy, evil and the wicked – because we are constantly in His faithfulness. His light is what remains and His light is what shines ever brightly, even in the darkness; The darkness does not understand it, and flees. Indeed, it’s not we who stand and walk away; we aren’t the ones who primarily avoid the assemblies of the evildoers – It’s the light in us, it’s Christ within us, with us and never forsaking us, that causes the darkness and death to flee.

What a timely reminder that it’s not the darkness that creeps in, but it’s the light that drives it away from our eyes, from our beings. Indeed, I’m drawn to remember and appreciate that sin does NOT have any dominion over me, because I am no longer of the Law, but – and this is more important – I am under the grace of God.

6 I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O LORD,

7 proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds.

By the blood of Christ – the Lamb of God – I have been washed, and I have been proclaimed innocent. Because of all He has done, I am reminded of our role here in this side of eternity, and in this reality – that we are a royal priesthood. Because of Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we have authority in our movements and actions, and we are able to not only approach the altar, but His throne of grace – ministering to the Father, and moving in thankfulness and gratefulness, because He ministers to us as well.

Indeed, let us give thanks to our God, let us give thanks to our Father! For He has done many great things, and He will continue to do so for all of us – again, He is FOR us, and not against us!

Thank You, Father, for even in the midst of despair, darkness and deceit, You are with me – comforting me, shining for me, and leading me into all Truth.

8 O LORD, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.

9 Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men,

10 in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes.

You comfort me, Father. You comfort Your body – the body of Christ – no matter what is going on in all of our lives at any given moment. It’s but natural for us to receive Your abounding comfort and love, Father – for we are always in Your presence. You have made us temples of the Holy Spirit – You have made us Your habitation, and You are in us as much as we are in You. Indeed, Father, what a wonderful reminder – as You dwell in us, so Your everlasting, infinite glory dwells in us as well! Thank You, Father!

Thank You, Lord – For You would not allow me to be swept away, nor have you allowed me to fall to the traps of the bloodthirsty. I am protected, and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I shall not – WE, in the body of Christ – shall not fall into the hands of the wicked forever – You have rescued us, saved us, and You have vindicated us!

11 But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me.

12 My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the LORD.

Let us continue to live, knowing that our Father is with us, in all things, perfect in all His ways.

Let us thank God for all that’s been going on, and for His faithfulness to us through it all.

No death, no sin shall ever separate us from His great, glorious love.
