Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise Him, all creatures here below.
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!
Amen.
Amen, indeed. Our God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – is worthy of all praise, all recognition, all worship and all adoration.
For, now and always, He continues not only to BE faithful to us, but He SHOWS it. The mere fact that I am here, writing, breathing, my heart beating and allowing blood and life to flow through all sections and areas of my physical body – just shows His faithfulness to me, in as much as I continue to exist in this reality, in spite of all that is IN this reality that is trying to end me.
In other words, I thank God and praise God because He is faithful no matter what happens to me.
He continues to be faithful to us, and He shows it. The mere fact that I am still sane and held together, regardless of all that I do to myself, and all that I feed myself, all that I allow in – it shows His faithfulness to me.
In other words, I thank God and praise God because He is faithful no matter what I make happen.
Through all the consequences of our actions, and all the impact of the actions of this reality, God is faithful. Through the many mistakes and the many blunders, God is faithful.
He is faithful to me, and even to all that I consider important, even if I know it’s what He thinks is good that matters more than anything else. My God, He is selfless, no matter how selfish I am. He is gracious through the extreme, and He is impetuous in my idleness – always wanting what’s best for me, for me and not against me, sure as He will never leave me nor forsake me.
I thank God for His faithfulness. I thank our God, whom we call Father, for His love for us – seen, demonstrated, and guaranteed by Christ and His finished work. May the grace and glory of God continue to just flow in and through my life, as dull as it may be, and as hectic it could get.
…Write.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.
His mercies never come to an end.
They are new every morning, new every morning.
Great is thy Faithfulness, oh Lord.
Great is thy Faithfulness.
Thank You, Father. No matter what I’m thinking, I would do good for myself, and I certainly will not be wasting my time if I spend time thanking God. I give thanks to God for Scripture, for in it we read of how giving thanks is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. So here and now, I am relieved, and I am at peace, knowing that no matter how uncertain it gets outside, or how unclear things get inside, when I give thanks, I am certainly doing the will of God.
I thank God, because this goes deeper than the godless gratitude, as the world would have it. It’s not merely positive thinking. It’s not denial of the negative. I give thanks to God, because we are able to do so in full recognition of all that is good and bad in every single moment of our lives.
I thank God, because He is the One who guarantees what I keep saying – that is, that we will always have more reasons to thank God, thank to complain. And I think this works in quality as well as in quantity – because even if we are able to number all the reasons to complain in any situation – oh, thank You, Lord – our mere gratitude towards the faithfulness of the Creator of the Universe towards us, no matter what? That will ALWAYS be infinitely superior to any argument against gratitude.
I thank God, for the gratitude that only He provides, through Christ’s finished work, and the power of the Holy Spirit. I thank God, because we can see anything and everything for what they really are, with the foundation of God’s superior faithfulness, fresh mercies, and everlasting love – therefore, we aren’t nearly as shaken as the rest of the world is whenever things happen.
I thank God, because from gratitude, our Foundation is established. By thanking God, we are brought back to the Rock on whom we stand. Through our gratitude no matter what, we return to our Firm Foundation.
What a good God we have, and what a great Savior we have – He saved us once and for all, and forever. With us now and will always be as close as He could ever be to us, just as we are always in His presence and His embrace. I thank God for His presence here, with me, right now – in spite of all my flaws, my setbacks, and in spite of all the sabotage I bring myself to; Father, thank You so much!
Thank You so much for our being willing and able to give thanks. Thank You for the default settings You’ve installed in us – gratitude, and the Word.
Thank You, Jesus – You are my good Shepherd, and I shall never find myself desperately in desire for anything else in this existence.
Thank You, Jesus – For not only do You lead me to rest in open, seemingly vulnerable and delicate but altogether secure plains and pastures… but in Your perfect timing and discernment, You lead us to equally safe and pure waters.
Thank You, Jesus – For indeed, You are my Rest and my Restoration.
Thank You, Jesus – For no matter where I am pulled and pushed around in this reality, You are faithful to lead me into the correct paths – You YOURSELF are the Way, and we follow, in full recognition of righteousness that comes only from You, confirming and bolstering our trust in You, and Your name.
Thank You, Jesus – For even if I find myself dangerously close to the sting of death, or even beneath the specter of death, I shall not fear, nor shall I be anxious – for even during those times, as in all times, You are with me, and not only with me, but close to me; Your rod and Your staff protect me and comfort me.
Thank You so much, Jesus! For if it’s death himself, or in the form of those who declare themselves my enemies that surrounds me, the truth still remains that not only are You with me, but You go as far as to sustain me, as they watch in vain. ANd before them, You not only feed me, but promote me – proclaiming Your favor upon me, and not upon them, it is my head that You anoint with oil and Your approval, that I am prospered – so much, that my cup overflows.
Thank You Jesus! Surely, therefore, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life – and I shall dwell in His house, now, and always.
Thank You, Lord!
Sorry about this. Just letting it all out, as always. May our Father continue to be praised, to the maximum… even now.
Until next post, God bless us all.
