Trust Unto Thanksgiving – December 31, 2024 (400/365)

God.

Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, and of all things seen and unseen.

Infinite and eternal Lord over time and space, and of all that we conceive as our reality.

God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Abba, Father.

Thank You, Father.

Thank You for this year, 2024.

It has been a pivotal year for some, a disastrous year for others, and a rollercoaster mix of both highs and lows for even more.

Still for more, it could have been just another year. Boring, even.

But nevertheless, Father, we still want to thank You. We’ve found it in our hearts, and we WANT to give You thanks.

Thank You. For we have trusted in You, and in our trusting in You, we have gone pleasantly deeper into the knowledge of Your great faithfulness to us.

Thank You, Father – for no matter how things turned out this year, I say that what’s in common with all of us is that when we insisted on Your being trustworthy, we beheld how You were faithful to us.

And when we depended on Your faithfulness, that’s when we saw that much more regarding how trustworthy You were, and are.

Thank You, Father, for this year, You were true to Your Word.

Indeed, thank You, Father, because we have seen – in Christ, all of Your promises are Yes and Amen.

Thank You. For we have acknowledged You in all our ways, and You were faithful to direct our steps.

Thank You. For we have acknowledged You in all our plans, and You were faithful to establish our thoughts.

Father, Thank You. For we have believed in You in our moments of uncertainty, we have trusted You in the split second decisions – and, true to Your Word, we were not put to shame.

Thank You for Your loving presence, even in the mundane and in the boring.

Thank You for Your comfort, in the sudden tragedies and the drawn-out pain we’ve had to endure.

Thank You for the reminder of Your everlasting love and Your infinite glory, manifested in our own grand victories, and in the simple comforts.

Thank You, Father – You were present with us when we were alone, and You sustained us when we were with others.

You endured with us, reasoned with us in temptation.

You drew near to us and ministered to us when we stumble.

You encouraged us in uncertainty, and You maintained Your support in continuity.

Your Light shines brighter in the darkness, and Your peace stood out in the turmoil.

Thank You, Father. For the salvation we have through Your Son, Jesus Christ, has been made more apparent and real in our lives this 2024.

We’ve learned to lay all our burdens at Your feet, and we have seen You respond in Your great power and love.

We’ve been ministered to, time and time again, by Your Spirit, who constantly, consistently reminds us of our right standing with You, no matter what happens.

We’ve been ministered to by Your Spirit of Truth, that leads us into all Truth – Yes, the same Spirit that reminds us, time and time again, that You are just our God, but our LORD – and not just our LORD, but our FATHER.

Father, Thank You – for this year, 2024 – You were true to Your Word.

We trusted in You, and You were faithful to us.

Thank You.

Thank You so much.

All this is said and proclaimed in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen.
