For this coming Sunday I thought it appropriate for us to talk about the past Quarter, and what to expect this coming second Quarter of 2024.
I went ahead and downloaded our live services from Facebook, uploaded them to YouTube, transcribed them from YouTube using a site called Kome.ai, took the message portion and ran all of them through ChatGPT. The way I processed them was to ask ChatGPT to get each transcript and to summarize them into points and a conclusion. I took each summary per month, and asked ChatGPT to refine it, to summarize that into points and a conclusion… Finally, I took each monthly summary and ran it through ChatGPT one last time, and these are the points and the conclusion it came up with for Q1 2024:
- Reflection on Current Events: Each month’s messages reflect on current events and societal challenges, drawing parallels to biblical teachings and prophecies. This demonstrates the relevance of scripture in addressing contemporary issues.
- Emphasis on Trust and Faith: Throughout the quarter, there’s a consistent emphasis on trusting in God amidst uncertainty and upheaval. Listeners are consistently encouraged to rely on God’s faithfulness and sovereignty, even in the face of adversity.
- Importance of Worship and Prayer: Worship and prayer are highlighted as essential practices during turbulent times, providing refuge, strength, and connection with God.
- Call to Proclaim the Gospel: There is a recurring call to proclaim the gospel and rely on Jesus Christ as the ultimate truth and source of stability. This underscores the importance of sharing one’s faith and the transformative power of the gospel message.
- Significance of God’s Name: Speakers emphasize the significance of invoking God’s name, trusting in His character, authority, and honor. This reflects a deep reverence for God and His role in believers’ lives.
- Encouragement to Recognize New Blessings: There’s a consistent theme of recognizing and appreciating the new blessings already received through Jesus Christ. This shift in mindset encourages gratitude and reliance on Christ’s love, forgiveness, and service.
Overall Conclusion:
The first quarter of 2024 is characterized by a unified message of hope, trust, and reliance on God’s faithfulness. Despite the challenges of the times, speakers emphasize the enduring relevance of biblical teachings and the transformative power of faith in navigating life’s complexities. Encouraging listeners to trust in God, engage in worship and prayer, and share the gospel message, the messages provide a foundation of hope and assurance amidst uncertainty. The overarching theme underscores the steadfastness of God’s love and the continuous blessings found in Christ, urging believers to maintain their focus on Him and His promises.
I have a mind now to do this analysis for all our messages, starting from the ones we shared right after our Senior Pastor’s passing last May 2020. Hard to believe it’s been almost 4 years now.
Anyway, obviously I’m not going to take the analysis verbatim. While it gives me a picture of what I’ve been sharing for these past 90 or so days, I will rephrase things…
…or just simplify them, really. I think we can put some of the points together.
- We’ve made a note to be relevant, being aware of current events and connecting them to Christ and His finished work.
- We’ve been consistent in encouraging everyone within the sound of our voice, not to be distracted by what’s happening from the inside out, and from the outside in, but to keep the faith – That is, not to be overcome by the world, but to be overwhelmed, again, by Christ and His finished work.
- We remind each other:
- To call on His name, and to remind ourselves that in our calling on His name, we are reminding ourselves of His character (He is for us and not against us), His authority (He is able to save us), and His honor (He is who He says He is, and He will do what He says He will do)
- To worship and to pray, to find refuge and strength, and ultimately remind ourselves of our constant connection with God, through Christ.
- To recognize and appreciate the blessings we already have through Christ.
- To live Life, knowing that He is our Life and Light, and the world will see this light.
In conclusion, we’ve made it a point that Christ’s finished work impacts our past, present, and future, and we would do well to trust in Him, to pray, to worship, to reflect, and to speak (to others, and to ourselves) of His goodness, especially during these turbulent times.
2024 is, indeed, a year of trust. And it seems that this coming quarter, we are shifting, from recognizing the value of trusting in the Lord, still to trusting in Him, but to focus on His faithfulness towards us, specifically.
Through the quarter I’ve asked key people in our team to go through a book I’ve seen and purchased online: Great Is Thy Faithfulness, by Robert J. Morgan. I’m pretty excited to see how we will be seeing more perspectives to the singular and absolute faithfulness of our Creator, our Father. It’ll be a pleasant challenge to see this in light of the events that will be covered in this second Quarter: That is, in our celebration of our third year as an official congregation, Mothers’ Day, and Fathers’ Day.
Just laying down my thoughts for now, not sure if I could get back to this in another article, but I’m just glad I’m able to put this together now, before the rest of this week happens.
Until the next post, God bless us all.
