The New Covenant is not dependent on man, but on Christ. In the Old Covenant, the Israelites were led by the hand out of Egypt. In the New Covenant, we were led by the heart through Christ alive in us.

We no longer have Christian nations. We have Christian people. Jew and Gentile come together as one Church, one Body.

5777 = 2017

6 – Number of Man, 666 – Number of the AntiChrist, the Flesh

2017 – The Year of Jubilee

For you and me, our families, our churches.

Jubilee means freedom. We shall return to our possession. We shall return to our health. We shall return to our flourishing relationships. We shall return to our families. Jubilee is rest of all rest, Sabbath of all Sabbaths. 7 is the number of completeness. Every 7 years, our bodies are changed. Our hearts beat slower on the 7th day than any other day, that doctors watch the 7th, 14th, and 21st days of confined patients.

Fascinating. In the French Revolution, they proposed a 10th Day rest instead of a 7th day rest. While men were able to pull it off, donkeys refused to work on the 7th day. Then calves stopped giving milk. Every 7 years, our cells change. It’s supposed to be for the better. The land is supposed to rest. (funny how we ended the car wash rental this year. The land rests while the building is being raised)

While all this seems so nice, beware not to treat this as Numerology. Just know that God is the master of Mathematics. He is the supreme Mathematician and while numbers mean a lot, they aren’t Gods themselves. 7 notes. 7 colors in the rainbow. The 7th day was when God rested. 7 is the number of completion. God’s work is complete. He did not rest because He was tired. He rested because He was finished.

True holiness is learning to rest in Christ and His finished work. Christ spoke 7 times on the Cross.

1 – unity, 2 – testimony, 3 – resurrection, 4 – earth, 5 – grace, 6 – man, 7 – perfection/completion

1917 – The year Israel was liberated from the Ottoman Turks.

1967 – The 6-Day war – On the 7th day, the entire Jerusalem was restored to Israel.

2017 – ? Something good is going to happen! There may be great darkness, but there is consistency in God’s movement..

On the 7th Day, Joshua and the Israelites shouted, and the walls of Jericho fell! We ought to be singing, shouting! Just yesterday I was listening to Timothy Keller speaking on Isaiah 53-54, and Isaiah 54:1 states:

How could this not be part of our shouting? Let us break forth into singing and cry aloud! Let us worship! Let us blow the trumpet of freedom!

Christ’s 6th utterance was ‘It is finished!’, and His 7th was, ‘Father, into Your hands I commit my Spirit.’ Even then, as His body was bloodied, nailed to the cross, otherwise close to expiry, even then it was His choice to lay down His life… Even then it was His choice to rest. This was where He found a place for His head to rest.

Jubilee – freedom. Every debt is cancelled. Every slave is set free. All bondage is broken. We are set free from fantasies, from addictions, from habits, from mindsets, all that binds. Whom the Son sets free, is free indeed.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

The people who are the most free are those whom Christ has set free. We are free from sin! We are free from fear! The walls of Jericho were not merely cracked, but they fell flat! The bondage falls down flat, because it is not our efforts and strategies that destroyed them, but the power and the move of God! It was Christ who set us free, indeed!

It is a year of victory. It is a year of freedom.

Christ came and gave freely. He was willing to heal, to provide, to raise people from the dead. It’s as if He was not imputing sins on any of us. God’s goodness is demonstrated and then repentance happened! Let us never do it the other way! There is no balance! Grace AND Truth came through Jesus Christ! See Christ and repentance follows! See grace, see God’s goodness!

(1) Rest. Don’t Work – This is NOT, ‘resign from your job!’ This is the Year of Jubilee, not the Year of Stupidity! You don’t have to work in order for restoration to happen! You don’t have to work for healing! You don’t have to work for the restoration of your nation! Don’t be stressed about it! Rest! Acknowledge that the battle, the work is the Lord’s! Who among you would grow taller by worrying?

Look at the birds of the air, and the lilies of the field.. God takes care of these temporal things.. and are you not more important than them? Relax! Christ operated from rest, and somehow, this Prince of Peace had time for everything and everybody!

(2) Listen, listen to messages of Jesus and the Cross. Listen to the Ram’s Horn (victory) and not the Bronze Horn (judgment). Listen to the wisdom of God. Hear, and the Lord supplies.. Listen to the Word, keep on hearing… Let faith arise.

(3) Flow; Jubilee – YohVel(?) descendant of Adam & Eve, lead musician – Etymology of Jubilee, meaning Flow, flow as musicians. Flow with the Spirit. Move with the Spirit. Christ is alive in you. Flow in the life, and the life abundant that you now have.

Your only labor is to labor into His rest.

God’s word can touch the areas that we cannot discern and see. The seen Word of God has unseen power. The unseen aspects of the Word were seen in Christ. Halleluyah!

This is a Year of Jubilee. Where Jesus is, there is Jubilee. And Praise God, indeed, for Christ is not anywhere far away from us but He is ALIVE IN US.
