‘Man, there is more to this life!’

Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
– 1 Corinthians 10:12-13
The enemy constantly tries to get us to think against Christ – that what He did is not enough, or that there is nothing thrilling about it. This cannot be further from the truth – satan’s real agenda is to steal, kill and destroy us, and Christ was pretty clear and saying that He came to give us life, and life abundant!
This is another note to myself: Do not look to your senses and what you perceive now as the ultimate source of your pleasure. Man, there is more to this life! Your past has been covered, shalom in the present has been secured, and the promise of a glorious and everlasting future is guaranteed. By God’s grace, allow this truth to be the foundation to face what other situations are present!
To live is Christ, and to die is gain. He is my all in all, my Savior. In Him, I am greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved by God, our Heavenly Father!
Father, thank You so much for loving me! Let Your unfailing, unending love continue to transform me. Halleluyah!
