Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial – a verse I keep going back to. In place of condemnation is a urge to keep going forward, gaining ground, uplifting people, not for my glory, but for the advancement of God’s kingdom.
What a good and great God we serve. I like life in Christ to Parkour – don’t stop, keep running.
Stumble and fall; but don’t stop, keep going.
Encounter an obstacle, or a hindrance; but don’t stop, keep going.
Find a fork in the road? Acknowledge God, count on Him; but don’t stop, keep going.
Catch a lull? Slow your pace, wait on the Lord… but don’t stop, keep going.
That’s all that matters – that we, more than any other resource, make the most of every breath, every beat our heart takes, every slice, every second of time we have by God’s sustaining and overwhelming grace.
It is my prayer that we just keep going, keeping our eyes on the prize.
I saw a sticker that said, ‘Do not be afraid of slowing down, be afraid of standing still.’ What wise advice.
God bless us all as we move.
To God be the glory.
