Notes for Proverbs 21 – Ponder Your Path

All of a person's ways seem right in his own opinion, but the LORD evaluates the motives. -Proverbs 21:2

There is nothing hidden from the Lord. He made us and knows everything there is to know about us. He knows our strength and our potential. He knows our weaknesses and our flaws. He hears what we say but He also knows the message behind it. He sees our plans but He definitely knows the heart behind what we want to do.

The Righteous One considers the house of the wicked; he overthrows the wicked to their ruin. -Proverbs 21:12

The ways of the enemy will be destroyed and it will all work for those who love Him.

The one who wanders from the way of wisdom will end up in the company of the departed. -Proverbs 21:16

If we take one step away from the presence of God, we take one step closer to destruction.

The way of the guilty person is devious, but as for the pure, his way is upright. -Proverbs 21:8

What is your assurance that the path you are taking is the right one? Take every step you take praising the Lord all the way.

There is desirable treasure and olive oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish person devours all he has. -Proverbs 21:20

There are blessings apparent to those who are wise.

The one who pursues righteousness and love finds life, bounty, and honor. -Proverbs 21:21
The wise person can scale the city of the mighty and bring down the stronghold in which they trust. -Proverbs 21:22

These blessings are present for the wise to further their path, serving what purpose the Lord has for them.
