I’m on my way back to Baguio. I’m on a bus that’s not doing any stopovers, and will be taking the fastest route there.
But for now I’m stuck in Manila lunch-time traffic, and I’m taking advantage of how the bus isn’t moving, by turning on the laptop and typing. I’ve been lugging this around during my stay here but didn’t really have the time to use it… so I’m forcing myself to use it now, in honor of my back.
Oh, what was I doing in Manila? Well, in a word, growing. I’ve been soaking in perspectives that were willingly shared, but also making observations and taking in subtle lessons from collective dynamics and other unspoken social communications. I’ve also been squeezing out my own perspectives, putting them to the test against competent (or, at least, seemingly competent) minds. I’ve been letting stuff in, and getting stuff out. Learning. Growing.
And yes, you’re right – lessons are valuable, but they exponentially increase in value when shared, by way of being clarified, and just repeated and retained more.
But all I will say for now, seeing as we’re on the skyway on our way out of the inner city and into the expressways, that we need to expose ourselves more, to test our beliefs, and allow them to grow. We releave value to make space for more value to receive, and we process what we receive and share it in our own words in a pleasant, endless cycle.
(Much) more to come… soon. God bless you.
